Saints look dangerous everytime they come forward.. One of those Ward Prowse set pieces is going to be on the money..

It deflected off Salah so was ok to pick up.

But around the same time when Mane blasted over, just as he was about to shoot he had his shoulder pushed back, so he was leaning back when he shot. Minor but I don't recall the rule that allows you to shove a player?

That was a bit grim really. We look so open, Southampton finding it remarkably easy to pass through us and get at our box... yet we have no numbers in attack. How??

Not really sure why we persist in playing such a high line with achingly slow CBs, and then put no pressure on the ball. It's asking for trouble.

Sorry to say but he and Gini have been too easy to beat just with a change of pace. Our midfield is fine going forwards but is too easy to run past.

Southampton should have had a couple themselves.

We're so erratic in our play. Easy to cut open, midfield not really doing anything again, full backs having to babysit the CB's somewhat.

The forwards look sharp but can't finish.

Nor can ours - they have had 2 chances we have had 3 or 4 - they had the header from Tellas which had an xG of 29% and the shot from Che with a 49% chance that (IMO) is overstated just because of how well Allison closed down - we hjad Salah with a 20% chance when he had like 3 players on the line, then Jota at 29% for his shot in the middle of the box, Salah with 36% with his shot from the angle then Mane's actual goal which was 40%.

Funnily we seemed to play a wee bit better when Thiago dropped deep and split the CBs instead of Fab and started pinging a few balls forward..

But midfield still treading water for most of the game..
