When I win the lottery tonight I'm going to go and buy this. Delivery miles Aventador 6.5 LP 740-4 S Roadster.

I just saw a video today of the new Porsche GT2 RS destroying an Aventodor S in a drag race

Pretty shocked how it destroyed it.

Been super intrigued about the Alpine A110 lately. Not that I could imagine affording it or anything but it's so cool and I love the philosphy behind it...probably my number one in the "not completely astonomically unobtainable" category

The new Aston Martin Superleggera could well be the best looking car going.

Meh, with £110m I’ll buy one of them too  ;D

The problem is a GT2 RS just isn’t a road car, or at least I doubt you’d want to do a decent journey in it. Whilst the Aventador you could. I mean you might be crippled doing it but you could!

I have a hankering for a Ford Capri, preferably a MkIII 2.8 injection.

An Opel Manta would also suffice but those seem to have vanished from the face of the Earth.

Saw a gorgeous 2.0 X in orange today.

I would love an Opel Manta 400 in rally colours.

Rally cars have always done it for me in a way no supercar ever could. Driving a Delta Integrale, Sierra Cossie or a Scooby down a farm track at full pelt has to be more fun than anything you can do in a Lambo.

IF I ever win the win the Euros, I am buying a Group B 205 Turbo16 (ex works cars pop up from time to time). I would love a Ferrari 308GTS, but a mental 550BHP group B car would trump it everytime. Back in the day, me and our kid went the Parc Ferme at the Albert Dock for the Lombard, got to see the works Peugeots, Metros and RS200's up close. Proper cars.

I drove a Focus RS in the summer, fucking nuts, proper hoot.

If you want to see Group B cars, go to the Festival of Speed at Goodwood. Seeing the likes of the Lancia 037 and Audi Quatro S1 in action is quite something.

I had a chance to buy a Sierra Cossie in good condition for £8k a decade ago. It was a brilliant, brilliant car. However, the insurance would have been £8k per year too!

Funnily enough I saw a Cossie Sapphire yesterday and it struck me that you hardly ever see them these days. It was absolutely beautiful. Had been painted in the old John Player black / gold livery.

Bet it was worth a fortune, it looked amazing. Absolutely mint.

Can't remember the last time I saw a Sapphire Cossie, I honestly think the last one was my mates in 2004. I had a Sapphire Ghia in the same colour, maroon, and had a proper Cossie spoiler and 14 inch alloys off an Escort.  They really do go for silly money now.

When I was a teenager, one of our neighbours had a genuine JPS MK2 Capri, that was gorgeous.

Here's an inexpensive little car. The design looks better to me in person than in these pics. Wish it had a bit more power, but I'm told it's a fun handler. It's the current Toyota 86 platform, which is rebranded according to where in the world it's sold. Known also as the Scion FR-S and the Subaru BRZ. Does anyone here own one?

Inexpensive you say ? Try saying that to 70% of the world's population and you don't even post the actual price either.

About £26000

About the price of a merc or BMW mid range...n

Th thing is, hyper cars are to lusted over and gawped at inthe street...

If I ever got to drive one then it would ruin them... I live just a few miles from the McLaren factory ... they look phenomenal ... especially the prototypes..  but you’d be embarrassed driving one wouldn’t you?

The Pagani Huayra is arguably the most incredible looking modern car in existence.
I saw something far better and authentically sportier looking on Queens Drive, Liverpool on Friday mate.

It was a classic sports car, low, raised wheel archness and rear loaded, rather than than monstrosity.

It was in white though, which was uninspiring. It needed to be in a bright fuck off Red.

Pretending? WTF??

You want the price, grumpy? Here you go: The base price of a Toyota 86 in 2017 was $26,255 in the US. https://www.motortrend.com/cars/toyota/86/2017/

That is 25% BELOW the average price of a new car last year, in 2017 ($35,176). https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/01/americans-borrow-record-amounts-for-autos-even-as-interest-rates-rise.html

If you are trying to suggest that I'm immune to the high cost of cars, you're barking up the wrong tree. I've only bought one new car in my life, in 1985. The most I ever spent was $17,500 in 2001. I just bought an 11 year old car last month for $9500.

A car selling for 25% below the average new car price is most certainly defined as inexpensive, despite the fact that neither you nor I would ever spend that much.

It's a thread about cars. Given the context that the thread is about cars, the one he posted is inexpensive relative to other cars. Don't see how you could be offended by that. Probably loads more people in the house buying thread you could remind about world poverty anyway.

Or could pop into the tech threads and have a go there, the ticket thread is worth a shot too, as is the new kit and merch thread given how expensive that is these days.

Was behind one of these for about 10 miles on the M1 this weekend. What a beauty. Really rare to see them these days, was in absolutely gorgeous knick too.

And before some smart arse mentions it, I'm aware that this is a picture of a model car, rather than an actual Delta ;D
