Did anything of note happen in the first half?

Not really, Sterling got tackled in the box and many City players raced toward the ref like a bunch of entitled pricks demanding a penalty (was a clear and clean tackle).

Jim Beglin called City's ground 'the Emptihad' on comms - https://twitter.com/zak_afc/status/1482339499384479745 (Man City PR-bots will be activated now)

Apart from various match commentators repeatedly telling everyone watching it was a 'fascinating tactical battle' (boring), not much else at all.

The most impressive thing about this game is that the two City advertising boards appear to merge into one big one.
Didn’t they have to take out 1000 seats to do that?
They couldn’t fill the seats anyway so it didn’t really matter.

Hugely ironic for a nation who's most loud mouthed fans and commentators spouted about "bloody diving foreigners ruining OUR game" that the English players are now the very worst offenders.

They could do with Werner's pace on one of the flanks, let him run and create space. Bring on Mount for Pulisic and Weber for Ziyech and see what they can do.
