I would, because Whyte would lay him out and Bellew wouldn't wake up until after Christmas dinner had been served. I'd pay to watch that.

True, 20 quid is a small price to pay for that I suppose

Cant see it myself, but Hearn saying both camps working on a new date for 2018.

What else is Bellew going to do? All the CW belts are held by monsters now and he's not a real HW. He had a chance to beat the ghost of David Haye and then make some money as a fluffer for AJ, now there's nowhere to go so he might as well wait.

Not on about Bellew , I am on about Haye, his body is clearly gone to bits and good chance it will breakdown in the build up to the fight next year.  And as for Bellew he has been saying for ages he would take the Parker fight, would not be a surprise to me if Hearn has a go at making that next year, as a way to get Parker some attention in the uk, before a possible AJ fight in the future.

Yeah I think he should just pack it in. Same problem for him though, who else is going to take a fight with him? If he does fight again it's Bellew or nothing.

Yea defo for Haye, its Bellew or nothing for him in terms of making big money.   I think Bellew has some difficult problems now, he could wait for Haye, but with his injury record and soon to be 38 its a big gamble.

Bellew would be wise to just wait for Haye rematch and chill out.

Well for a guy that said he wouldn't even need to train to fight Bellew last time round its a bit of a cop out to moan over 2 weeks away from training :P

This is why I could never go to see a 'big' fight live. Why bother? Especially those that paid over the odds from tout sites.

After the stupid love-in after the 1st fight it was always going to be manufactured for tv.

Haye can focus on his promotion work and Bellew doesn't need to fight again. Just take the money and look after his kids.

Sorry (not sorry) for the interruption. A lot of you may have heard the terrible news about Sir Harvest Fields. There’s a justgiving page set up to try and help raise money to cover his funeral costs. If you haven’t already done so, and would like to contribute details are in here:

As someone on here said before, if he was fighting 15 years ago he'd be nothing more than a journeyman with loads of losses on his record. That he's a champion shows how shit this division is.

His own team don't rate him lol. That's why they are trying so badly to get a fight with AJ and eke out every last drop they can because they know he will more than likely lose his belt and never be able to draw a fight like this again.

I think people romanticise past eras. It wasn't all Tyson and Holyfield, I remember Tyson fought some shit opponents, and utterly destroyed them but there were only a handful of greats IMO 15 years ago. Even if it was a golden generation.

You can't really judge the division based on Parker's CV because he hasn't fought anywhere near the best names in it.

That said, you wouldn't fancy Parker in a division that had Lennox, Holyfield, Tyson and Bowe in it!

It's true that Tyson did beat a few duds, but you just have to look at the likes of Donovan Ruddock who he beat twice , if Ruddock was around now he would be a world star

Chapter 1... Stage a shambles of a press conference

Have they now changed their public stance from 50/50 to 60/40 to 65/35? What a joke, Eddie just needs to hold out to Christmas & they'll be saying they'll take 80/20.

They must know it's only a matter of time until someone takes Parker out & they are clearly looking for that AJ cash out & doing a bad job of it.
