Penalty shout in the last few seconds.."check complete" before VV is even out of the box.. all of 3 secs looking at that..
one other  thing that annoys me Son is offside midway in our half.. gets to the edge of the box, shooots ..THEN the flag goes up. free kick taken edge of our box, not 30 yds up the pitch where the infraction  took place..
Buit id have taken 3-1 at half time every day of the week.. just need to see it out now

VVD is my favourite player but he’s looked every bit as done as Fabinho this season. Perisic is 34.

No idea how the Skipp challenge on Diaz didn’t go to VAR.

If Gakpo rolls it to Elliott or Salah after being released by Trent it's probably 4 nil..was a big moment in the half
according to 24/7 I will be scrambling round for tickets on the exchange all season #STH #19awayclub

Two sides who can't defend and make really basic mistakes, could end up anything this.

Ref is a wanker.
What's the VAR then? Should be sacked on the spot.

Fuckin awful tackle against Diaz. They're cutting down Gakpos space an not allowing him to turn meaning we just look pedestrian with the ball attackong
Apart from the times we’ve ripped them apart?

It was just too easy and we lost concentration.  Start to the second half is important

Remember when Paul Tierney reffed his last Tottenham vs Liverpool game and sent Robertson off, let Kane get away with a similar challenge and didn't give Jota a stonewall penalty? Pepperidge farm remembers.

Does Gary Neville know there’s another team playing , sick of hearing  him go on and on about how shit Spurs are
Yet the other week Utd beat Forest 2-0 and you’d swear they were playing against 1970’s Brazil

Beglin is as bad. He thought that the tackle on Diaz was a good one and the when he saw the replay he said that it looked worse in slow motion. Then when Son hit the post he said it was marginally offside and claimed it was unlucky. He seems to try hard to make it out that the other team are always unlucky against us.

Robertson with a terrible last 10 minutes.  Completely at sea.  Needs to switch on.

Diaz immense in his return from injury already.

for those not watching

remind of how shite our right back is. 45 minutes have passed and have not won any 1v1 sliding tackles. pretty sure gary and carra will point it out soon enough. how much longer are we going to have him at rb. we will obviously win nothing with him there.

It’s not like he stood in the RB for 90-minutes before the switch to this system.

He’d more then likely have been further up the pitch anyway.
Harvey and Trent has ben a defensive night mare on the right many many games, and the new system certainly doesnt help. We need a very different kind of midfielder to complement Trent

I don't mean to be the one moaning about thd ref, but....

He ain't giving us another free.
Leg breaker on Diaz. Not even a free kick.
Handball by Kane for the chance before they scored. Nope.
Petty fouls not given.
Awful stuff.

Great start and thankfully calmed that late burst by Spurs.  Only down for me is the lack of a var check for pen and also, if that challenge on Diaz was made by Robbo on Kane then I expect there'd have been a card.

Looking at their goal again, I don’t think Trent’s position is any different to what it would have been if he was playing a RWB position. He’s on the right but more advanced, nowhere near the middle.

The issue is that Konate chases a player into midfield which leaves acres of space for Virgil to cover (who then trips over his own shoe laces).

This formation really suits Elliott, aside from Trent I think he’s been our best player.

I think Kloop will tell the lads, start the second half with the same intensity and Spurs will fold.

An early goal, and this is done.

Shocked that Tierney gave us a pen, even one that blatant. Showed himself for his shite when that legbreaker wasnt a red. You cannot do that on a pitch!

Played great for the first half hour, then we started making mistakes, got sloppy and unfocused. Hope Klopp will let some know at half time that the end of that half was not good enough.

Need to get back to our best and try and get a fourth. Have to keep them out, they can see blood now and we need to just squash their hope.

Come on Liverpool!!! YNWA!

Here we go...

I think they have a point.  Trent is so great on the ball that he has to start, but I'd personally feel more comfortable if we actually had a right-back, it just always looks so unbalanced to me.  Against someone like Real, with V.Junior running down that flank we'd get absolutely hammered.  We have plenty of time to experiment in a month or two, I'd be playing Trent actually in Midfield with Bradley, Ramsey, whoever auditioning the that right-back roll. The Centrebacks are too easily dragged out with what we're currently trying, well worth the experiment but it raises as many issues as it solves.

The team and the crowd got complacent after 30 minutes - we felt like we were going to steamroller them. Spurs worked out they can soak up pressure and hit us on the break, which is where there is a weakness in this formation. We gave them a gift and thought Robertson was very shaky - I don't think he looks comfortable in the position, he's not as technically gifted so a poor touch and we lose the ball in a bad area, as oppossed to out wide.

Either way, we've played well and our attacking unit looks very fluid.

HOW do we end up with this cnut and coote on VAR? Is the Prem taking the mickey or what?
