If he plays fortnite alot i'd guess he's got an epic account linked so all purchases should be linked to that. Obviously all local saves will go but most of fortnite is server side anyway because of the nature of the game.

Just joined the PS4 family after having a PS3 fatty. I anguished over getting a Pro or a Slim. Ended up getting a Slim bundle with RDR2 for £297. Very pleased. The Pro bundle would've set me back over £100 more and since I'm going to play already released games, I decided a Slim would suffice until the PS5 gets here.

That doesn't sound too great to be honest. I ordered the Pro and RDR2 bundle about a week ago from Very for £320 :/

You might even be better off returning it and looking for a similar Pro bundle?

I did look. SEK 4990 is the best I could find in Sweden. That's about £399.

Part of the issue is likely a chemical tax that was introduced here in 2018. About 30 quid or so on a PS4 Pro.

Just a heads up that Fortnite is a free game so that shouldn't be too difficult for her to find on the online store. I think some console bundles can come with it pre-installed but it doesn't make too much difference.

I got lucky when I ordered the Pro and Red Dead bundle, didn't even realise it was a new model. Apparently that's the only way to get one of the newer models in the UK at the minute?

ours isn't that old, how do you know if it's the new one?

ours was a spider-man bundle so can't be, but it's not noisy.

Not all games are noisy. God Of War for example is fine except when you pull the map up which Is really weird. Same for COD4 remastered when your sat in the multiplayer lobby. My Spider-Man was fine too throughout. Fifa 18 was bad when you was doing the transfer negotiations as well.

I opened mine up after I got Red Dead and cleaned the dust off the fan cause it was really loud. Wasn't a huge amount there but I've noticed it's slightly quieter now running Red Dead.

Also managed to replace my PX4 wireless transmitter for my headset that my new puppy chewed through  so can't hear a thing with those on. Defo recommend using a headset if you can for Red Dead when doing story missions.

Having basically owned the event for the last 5 years straight. Though the last few years they have over promised and under delivered

anyone spied any deals on move controllers? they were down to £40 in the summer, when I didn't have a VR and want them, since I got that they've stayed at £70.

Currys are doing the controllers for £30 which isn't bad.

Ebay is your best bet. Just get used ones. PS3 ones, doesn't matter. The only difference is they use a mini USB connection instead of micro. Can get them for as low as 20 a piece.

I've barely got going on the PS4. Still cursing myself for buying it really. I'm used to being a generation behind, I'm telling you, best way to game. Everything's cheaper and you still get your mind blown when you move up a generation, only it costs half as much, all the patches have been done, GOTY editions available, etc.

Yeah, you weren't missing much for the first 3 years or so of this generation. Don't care what anyone says. If it weren't for the VR and one or two games on either system, this gen would go down as a total flop in my eyes. Nothing but remakes, remasters, and shit cash grabs. And of course, the fleecing schemes with the loot boxes and the live service models, and the held to ransom content behind premium packages you pay ridiculous amounts of money for.

I mean, if Sony and MS come out with the 4k, 60fps bollocks as their marketing ploy for their upcoming systems, well, they can fuck right off. I don't care how many "flops" a console has anymore. That's hitting a brick wall, and so are the ideas for the games. Another Assassins Creed, Fifa, COD, Far Cry? Is that it?

This is the annoying thing, we've got a PS3 one but it doesn't seem to charge properly, I don't know why cos its barely been used so I'm wondering if the ones on there are gonna be the same left-in-a-drawer to die shite.
