Barca's going nowhere with Valverde in charge, he's gone full Souness or Moyes on them. Just murdering the club from the inside. Messi will still drag them to an ok season and it will kill their fans to see such a legend crushed by such mediocrity.

Still Coutinho, Demebele and now Griezmann, who looked very average tonight, are good players a better manager would have gotten more out of them for sure. Their squad really isn't that bad, overrated but not terrible. I agree it's ultimately the board's fault. I simply believe they don't value the position of the manager at all and got lucky with Pep. Historically Real Madrid, even with all their ego-related issues, have valued the managerial position so much more than Barca. Probably why they have won more.
