Was a great finish on his right foot last night. Hope he’s okay for next weekend.

Like most people I’m sure, had flashbacks to the Champion’s League final seeing him go off and the boys up against it.

Yup.. surely not another season he ends in tears and injured.

Were you fit to play 3 days later is the question?

;D  Sadly no, my head was battered.

So just to clarify we have no Mo and no Bobby for Tuesday, we look shattered after 60 mins , we are 3-0 down to Barcelona and play them again in 48 hours

Don't you think these players have earned their right to try and get back into this tie? Especially some of the guys who've had to take a back seat. Can't believe some people are questioning this especially as people go on about us not winning trophies. Yet all of a sudden some are suggesting we play our youth team or somehow don't try too hard. Get an early goal and who knows how they will affect a team who have struggled away from home before.

But that's not the reason why they will be playing.  The reason being that we're likely to have two of our front three out.  It's that simple.

We know why they will play. Jill is right though, they have earned, and deserve, the right to have a go at getting us into the Final.

If he does play in either or both game, happy fucking days

That is irrelevant it's has been a squad effort getting us this far that is the point. Some of those players have had to be patient and wait for the moment to shine, players like Origi have been crucial this far. Also, say the game goes to extra time they would still have had a part to play, whether they started or not.

It looked more like a suspected neck injury to me. On the plus side, it means that if he's cleared of it, there won't be a concussion protocol to follow.

Am I right in thinking that there is still some debate about the whole thing within the medical literature?

The brain is the most complicated structure in the known universe, injuries to it are unpredictable and, given the risks with getting it wrong, it’s no surprise that erring on the side of caution is the sensible thing to do. From my rudimentary understanding (mostly gleaned from the doctors of a friend who was hit by a car a few years ago) advances are being made all the time, but the experts tend not to deal in absolutes.

Given all that I’d be extremely shocked if Mo was in the squad come Tuesday, but it’s possible it wasn’t as bad as it appeared (to me it looked like he was sparked out though).

Not sure. There's no debate in youth sports, though - Second Impact Syndrome is devastating. People here who have ANY involvement in youth sports (or any contact sport for any age) need to watch this - it's too important to have no knowledge about (Warning - it's not an easy clip to watch):

That's a good video to show, I also direct people towards the Ben Robinson case in 2011. He sustained 3 head injuries and was sent back out to play, he eventually died. Second impact syndrome can be as serious as that!

If he plays or not Tuesday it will have nothing to do with the City game. He'll be accessed by medical experts and they'll inform the manager if he can or can't.

It looked more like a suspected neck injury to me. On the plus side, it means that if he's cleared of it, there won't be a concussion protocol to follow.

Doesn't appear to be a neck injury if Klopp saw that he was up and watching the game in the changing room. A neck injury would have gone straight into A&E.

Still, there is no reason to risk a player's health so quickly on Tuesday.

Remember Kingfut? The guys that were way ahead of everyone else during the Salah transfer to us. They have a story about someone who spoke to Salah yesterday and say he has a mild concussion.

If that is true there is no way he is playing on Tuesday. We could see him back Sunday though.
