I thought that too after he did the pose in the Chelsea game - to show the racist feckers that he is in control.

But he's done one again during the Huddersfield game, so my theory has kinda been smashed.

I reckon he's trying to create a unique goal celebration  ;)
I think that was probably the thinking behind the Chelsea one and then he's seen how much we all loved it so he's decided to carry it on. Its a total 'fuck you' to all the critics.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

He probably knows. He's not one of those stereotypical dumb footballers.

And in the 21st century it's less religious and 'Hindu' and more universally practiced as an art for good posture etc.

I don't know what to make of his composure in big games to be honest. For some reason I was 100% sure he was gonna miss that chance, it's the kind of ball that I would only trust Firmino and Milner from our squad to put away. He and Mané are too erratic. They obviously have shown up in important games so I can't even put my finger on what's wrong.

Actually thought he was doing very well as a more classic winger in the first half, some lovely runs and turns that he often doesn't get the space to do in the PL. But when things went downhill I didn't expect him to change the tide...

You mean the Milner that had the entire goal to aim at 10 yards out and picked out Ter Stegen with pin point accuracy?

Milner has composure, not necessarily technique. You really just needed a cool-headed two-legged person to at least hit the target from where Salah was.

Milner's chance wasn't that easy, he and the ball were coming at speed and there was a dummy in there too.

He really played well, I think he just tried to get it over the heads of the Barca players on the line but it needed to go in. Such a shame. Thought he gave them hell, Lenglet couldn't cope with him and Alba had a hard time too.

That run he made from our own half in the first half was sensational. Shame he missed the chance at the end but couldn't have asked for more. You could only wonder how much more he could have contributed had he had Firmino and TAA alongside.

The runs he was making in the first 20 minutes were brilliant. Barca were getting a taste of their own Messi-based medicine. Him and Sadio were great first half.

I think the chance is harder than it looks when you consider he basically has to hit the top corner with his wrong foot, first-time. I saw it only got the same xG as Sadio's chance in the first half. They were both only ~30%ers.

I’ve been a bit critical of Mo in the big games by not getting in the game enough but he was so in the mood last night and unlucky not to score. Wasn’t creatively our best night but still managed to cause them problems. Shame the scoreline is so huge now, at Anfield he is bound to cause Alba and Lenglet problems.

It's unfortunate that he missed that chance really, because it's overshadowed what was otherwise a wonderful performance. He'll know what a big chance that was to claw ourselves massively back into the tie too, but I'm sure he's mentally strong enough to shrug that off and go again.
