I think it'll be announced as collections, then a scaled down version will happen or E-tickets will be sent - mainly to deter those who will book for the credit and not travel

Its fashion week like we said, its gonna cost the club a fuckin fortune to put 20+ staff up in hotels, flights, rent out a place to host it whilst all these other brands are doing something similar

Napoli they had 10 days notice from draw to game, I can see why that was E tickets

Milan... it's an extra week, just like LASK was though and that was E tickets with the club receiving the scan-in data - most likely scenario IMO

Tbf in Italy they check your name on the ticket to your ID as you enter the ground don't they.. so I think that removes the clubs obligation to check the name when collecting, and stops tickets being passed on as much last min and getting the credit as in theory the authorities will be checking on entry if thats the real person there

If they don’t do ticket collections surely anyone can just buy for the credit?

I’ve been to the San Siro before back in 2009, Torres 1-0, and I’d be fucking stunned if the club have some method of checking who did and didn’t scan into the ground done by liaising with Milan which shows an effective method of deciding who did or didn’t scan into the match, just seems a recipe for loads of people who went to the game losing the credit.

I assume you never went to Lask
or
heard what happened afterwards

**I've been to the San Siro (as has my daughter) in the last few years for a league game.

despite it being law for name checks in Italy.
whilst I did get asked for my I.D (passport) I never had it, they just let me in after I showed my credit card with the name on.

My daughter wasn't even asked for I.D. whe  she went

I didn’t mate no, I’ve not been to a Euro away in a while I just loosely know that the official line is that if you don’t scan into the match, you don’t get the credit.

My point is I would be surprised (fucking stunned was probably exaggerating) if there is a sensible method for implementing that plan given what it was like last time I went (we were put metal protected busses, driven to the away end, marched in via police with AK47s etc.

Could be wrong of course.

In some ways Milan is one of the better Italian away's now in some ways.

the fact you can make your own way to and from the San Siro.
although they keep you in so long  afterwards you just about make the last metro.

then they make you walk a big detour to get into the car park to get to our section.

although saying that, there's at least 3 stop/start searches there.
possibly more depending which team we play and what end we get.

then those stair towers.

Get the metro to the ground no problems

At LASK the club sent lfc the data of who scanned in and who didn't.. Was about 60 who didn't, 30 of which proved they were there and had credit re-instated

Milan could do the same, so take plenty pics inside the ground, and buy a bevvy so it's on your bank statement IF it's not full collection

I've heard a rumour we're getting 4309 allocation and it's going to be partial collection, but no idea where it's come from, so it's a wild rumour

They we're useless in Prague when one of ours wouldn't scan

"it must be fake then"
"we can't help, we have no spares it's an issue for the home club to sort etc.."

Hello all, does anyone have experience of sitting with the home fans at the San Siro for an AC or Inter game CL game v us? Has anyone ever gone for one of the home hospitality packages to secure a ticket?

Considering this for my wife and I but want to gauge the expected level of hostility!

Thanks!

I wouldn’t do it in Italy personally.

to be honest I’m pretty certain your wife will be able to get a spare, good chance this drops to all members and even if it doesn’t they’ll be tonnes flying around.

Might be plenty of spares, yes

But in Italy it is law that the name on the ticket must match the passport.
and they will certainty be several checks at the San Siro, like every other Italian away in Euro.

Plenty have sat in the home end in previous games*, you can tell as the game finishes when they all leave and ours hang around.

Its down to personal choice.

*Not sure how they get around the name checks etc

That’s true but if he gets in touch with the person selling the spare before the sale they should be able to put his name on the ticket.

So if you bought a spar over there you may get in if you're not checked.

But if you are checked, then you're out of luck?

I went to the derby at the end of last season, AC were the home team and Inter needed a win to secure the title. There was Inter fans everywhere in the home sectioms - no trouble at all, even when inter scored and their fans all celebrated - reminded of the old merseyside derby days when the fans all sat together. Based on my experience that night, and the atmosphere I'd happily sit in the home end again for our game.

Its like that in most German grounds.
been to quite a few with away fans sat in the home end and next to the away section.
no bother whats so ever

they also serve ale & snacks to your seat in Germany

You'll be fine. Milan is not Rome or Naples. When Ac  milan play at home against Inter, Juventus or Napoli you can often see away supporters in the home end and they even celebrate when they score. Just dont buy the tickets behind the goal (primo anello blu, secondl anello blu, terzo anello blu) where the ultras go

Hi, I did it for the most recent games vs Inter and Milan. Was in the upper red tier for both which is not behind the goal so no obvious ultras around.
Having said that I went with an Italian mate and I do speak a bit of Italian.
I had no bother but kept a low profile of course.
Milan is very different from Roma / Napoli in that respect. Having said that I was in the home sections for both of our away matches vs Roma in 2001 but that’s another story!
The ticket sale notice that came out said that fans with nationality of the away team cannot sit in the home areas, and as they do ID checks as you go in that could be an issue, unless you have something other than a British passport. I have a second nationality so use that.

My one Euro away was Inter a couple of years ago. Any chance of getting a ticket for this?

Any of the other aways likely to become available, assuming Milan will be the largest allocation by a fair bit?

100%, there is already plenty of spares for this.

I reckon they’ve done this on purpose to make it harder for guaranteed people to shift their tickets. Fewer people will take a spare from the first sale if they think they can get a ticket in their own name. And it just so happens Milan is the first one I can’t get off work for a few seasons. Going to fuck me for Girona.

Can’t do Milan but booked flights for the other three for £209 all in.

Why are the club still allowing other peoples name to be used for collection? Surely, it has to be the supporter ID with no exemptions?
