Really? It got a lot better when he made all the difference in the game with a great assist for the first goal.

Wasn't in the final third. I've got no problem with his defence or his passing range/vision but when he's getting into crossing, shooting, set piece territory nothing seems to be working and worst of all you can tell by his reactions that he's knows it to.

Dominant second half, lovely goal and still that feeling we have so much more to show. A bit fortunate in the first half.

Ref was pretty shit. Chambers should have had a red, baffling decision.

Naby needs to get some minutes now, we need someone in midfield who can break the lines a bit. Hendo didnt really bring much, but probably valuable minutes. But still feel Naby needs them, maybe the idea is to get him after the break and not risk anything now given the internationals coming.

Good result and lovely securing the three points in the early hours.

I dont know how Bobby and Mane played the full game.

I do as I watched both closely. They didn't put a foot wrong and I'm not sure what more you could ask of them. The ball didn't fall kindly for them but that's not their problem. They were good on the ball and their control and passing were good. It's a team game and they both did everything that was asked of them.

Can you think of any positives in a 2-0 win that puts us top of the league?

GK and CBs good, Robbo and Fabinho better in the second half, Salah getting close to his best again, Shaq good again.

After Shaqiri's beautiful goal it was game over. We could have scored more, but didn't. So be it. We controlled everything and secured the three points. This didn't excite people but these are the kind of wins we need plenty of if we are to challenge for the title. A good day's work.

Salah looking better but whatever Firmino's role was today, never again. He was effectively a midfielder and it's hugely restricts the best parts of his game. Shaqiri's probably cemented himself a starting spot now. I'd have liked to have seen Keita come on earlier, he needs the minutes more than Milner.

Once Clyne is ready, I'd drop Trent for a bit. He's young, everyone has poor patches, but he's been so poor on the ball this season.

Bobby was pulling space for Shaq to work in.

I agree, Mane could have scored in the first, Bobby worked hard had some good touches and his one two's with Salah in the first half, shame it didnt result in a goal. Thought Salah was fantastic.

I would have brought in Keita a bit earlier but at least he's fit.

We were fine today, another three points a clean sheet. We played well in bits, had a gorgeous move in the first half which had about three one-two's in the build up play, it would have goal of the season if it had gone it. Once those chances start to go in we'll be off and running. Played much better in the second half.

Great result. Really good second half, mostly good first half bar some lax defensive errors. Team did well to deal with the occasion, and the quiet atmosphere.

Only frustration is that it appears, as with Fabinho, that Klopp is only going to utilise the squad when it's forced on him. The conservatistm with the bench doesn't look like it's ever going to go away. Two minutes for Keita, entirely pointless exercise. Bringing Milner on was baffling and was also weird taking off our freshest attacking player in Shaqiri.

In the short term, it's obviously more than ok. We're performing brilliantly in the league. It's just that in the long term it'll leave us with players going in cold and unfamiliar when they're required (see Fabinho at Arsenal, see Origi at Red Star). It's a vicious circle because Klopp isn't going to start to trust players like Fabinho or Keita in competitive based on two minute performances. But we aren't going to put on cricket scores if we're leaving our tired players out there, conserving energy.

We were spoiled by the almost over-preparation by Rafa, so it's hard not to see Klopp's generally great use of the squad as an obvious marginal gain to come, if he improves with considering the physical aspects of who he's bringing on and off (eg if you start Lallana and Sturridge, you're restricting yourself because they're both not performing physically for more than 50-60 minutes)
I'm sure Klopp actually has very good reasons for his approach to rotation and subs, but I can't help but feel the same.
He is the cat who walks by himself, and all roads are alike to him.

Mane was pretty poor and Firmino pretty anonymous. Mane had a couple of great chances to get through or play someone in and his touch or decision making let him down. 6/10 for them both.

Good Win. Goal for Salah and another great performance from Shaqiri.
I thought Keita could have been brought on with a few minutes left. But I think Klopp was protecting the lead, can't complain about that. The ball didn't fall for Mane today at all.

Trent needs lessons from Robertson on his final delivery, not that its bad but Robertson's is world class.

Great result, and still can't believe we're unbeaten at this stage of the season. Don't know if we've ever managed that before in my lifetime.

I know this isn't a transfer thread - but still think we need a new forward in January. Just someone quick, dynamic, and with excellent ability at holding the ball up front.

Easy win, totally relaxed from the second goal onwards.

We remind me a little bit of some of Ferguson’s United teams, or Chelsea sides that have challenged for titles in recent years. By that I mean a lot of games are kind of a non-event. Those sides didn’t dish out thrashings every week, but nor did they ever seem in much danger of defeat. It’s a kind of habit we seemed to have lacked for a long time.

We’ve got issues in midfield moving the ball forward when teams are organized BUT that is the kind of game - home banker after a hard midweek game - I’ve been watching us fuck up for 20+ years so we can assess stuff or nit pick or moan but banging out these 3 points as we have this year is rarified air for Liverpool teams so enjoy it

There was a great move in the first half where we played through them with lovely give-and-go football, Bobby and Salah at the heart of it.  Only a smart save stopped it being a goal.

It's a given that Fulham's defence is one of the worst in the league - maybe the worst - but it was nice to see some of the one-touch stuff again even if we only ended up with two goals.

Was saying to a few lads that we are a bit like Simeone's Madrid in that we are more focused on keeping it tight than going for more goals at the risk of leaving ourselves open. As much as I would have liked for us to get 5+ goals, there is something oddly satisfying about strangling the life out of a game.

If that goal had gone it, it could well have turned into a blood bath. As Tepid said in commentary it was liquid football that move. It also shows we're not that far away, just have to keep working at it.
