Dirty Detail, set in the US about 2 Vietnam vets had me puzzled! The ending was good and not predictable (haha not to me anyway!) but I'm not sure where my sympathies are supposed to lay at the tragic ending.

The soundtrack on it was poor quality though, not sure what happened there.

Haha just watched it and must admit I saw the twist coming.  Not often I get it but this one came to me.

Sound to see George Peppard as Sgt Guido.

Your not wrong about the quality.  Had better quality porn vids on VHS back in the 80's :)

Had the sound down on mine, in case my Mum crept in or something!

Did that failed (medically discharged) vet deserve his fate though? Loved the tale yesterday about the 3 stuck up once very prosperous women and their lunch date to remember their recently deceased friend (servant) looking back they where a bit mean and snobby to her.

Not so much a a twist to this this one, more about morals. That was called The Tribute, the other one I saw called Hit and Run, had me fooled for a bit, but eventually saw what was coming!

Just watched "The Greatest Chess Player in the World" from series 7.  About a rich businessman who wants to have his unfaithful wife bumped off.

The voice over from the main character was more Alan Partridge than Alan himself.  If you have ever listened to the "I, Partridge" audiobook then I urge you to watch this episode to see what I mean.

"Paula was excellent value for money.  I gave her a house, a horse, a Ferrari and a clothes account.  She graced my table and shared my bed".

"Although after time, we mutually deleted sex from the agreement"

:lmao

Just watching   "Have a nice death" with Simon Cadell starring ( Played Jeffrey Fairbrother in Hi De Hi )

Didn't realise he had died aged 45 ( Was a 80 a day smoker mind)
If you see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and a nice pond in it, you fill in the pond with concrete, you plow the family into the soil, you blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for your wife who is also your brother.

What I love about these is spotting all the early 80's retro stuff.

Gonna watch the one with Simon Cadell in later :)

Just watched a great episode with Pauline Collins. She plays a bored, ignored wife of a two timing stuffy very rich ex colonel, they have absolutely nothing in common. He is shocked and dismayed to discover she has written a book of poetry based on love and sex, very graphical. The book becomes a best seller, and he is embarrassed to think the book was a written about a present or past lover....he needs to know the truth!

Witty one on yesterday starring Jim Broadbent, always like watching him. This was one of those witty tales called "The Facts of Life" from 1988.

The other show I saw yesterday was called '3 Winks'... pure comedy, full on Brian Rix mistaken identity bedroom farce material! Good laugh that one.

Have you been watching her Sunday lockdown lunch songs with her husband on YouTube? If not, have a look at the Enter Sandman one.  ;)

Crumbs, Fripp's eyes looked to be popping out a bit like mine.

Been a load of early episodes on lately, the ones written by and presented by Roald Dahl himself (one strange imagination that guy had!)

The classic /daft Royal Jelly was on yesterday, also the show about the woman obsessed with being on time for everything. This show starred Julie Harris, who appeared in the classic scary movie The Haunting. The name of the haunted house in that movie was called Hill House....as was the house in Tales of The Unexpected she lived in (not haunted' totally different storyline) nice little nod of appreciation of the past!

Chilling, factual tale on yesterday about a married couple who where also first cousins, once removed. The young woman had previously lost 3 children all a very young age. So naturally she was delighted and relieved when her 4th child (a son) was born perfectly normal and healthy
son.

He was born 20 April 1889....his name Adolf Hitler.

Watched "Proxy" from Series 7 last night.  Another episode imported from the US.

3 rich and powerful guys are all being blackmailed by the same woman, each fear they will be accused of her murder when she turns up dead.

The Chauffeur for one of the players comes up with a plan to help them all sleep easy.

Cracking ending.

The production values and scripts of some of these episodes are nothing short of terrible, but the stories and pay-offs are so much fun. :)

Just watched this one.

He was smoking in every scene in this too.

Not one of the best episodes if I'm honest :(

Very silly but also pretty horrific really.
