Bit crap in Tours, was gorgeous most of May.

It's beginning to look like the last 3 or 4 summers. Glorious in April, followed by 4 months of wishy washy grey shite. It's June 17, it's barely got above 15c in the past week, and it's currently pissing it down.

The festival trip to the lake district next moth is starting to look a little foolhardy :-\

Nice and sunnny here in Birkenhead at 7a.m. though lots of clouds over Liverpool.
It will piss down later as my brother has gone away and asked me to mark out a
cricket pitch for this afternoon.

Over here we still have a considerable amount of clouds, some of them black. The temperature is not as high as it should be as well.

I'm all in however. Heatwaves kill me, and if the temperature stays mild I'm a happy man.

An american friend of mine who came to visit me last week said we had the most depressing weather he had ever seen. He called it a "constant sea of greyness".

Have to agree with him.

Chucked it down most of the day in Leicester.

Now its getting to time for the kids to be in bed and the sun comes out. Wonderful.

Though happier than last week - went on a charity walk in the Peak District, just as we got to the top of a rather big hill and into the open, where there was absolutely no shelter whatsoever, we got stuck in several hailstorms. Just as we dried off in the sun the next batch of hail came. Turned our nice stroll into a battle through marshland.

This is the good old British summer though, getting used to it now.

Unsettled all weekend (breaks in cloud, followed by what appears at first glance to be some bright yellow(ish) presence in the sky, emmitting light and heat, swiftly followed by a re-forming of the aformentioned clouds - only darker this time - and heavy rainfall).

Monday morning and the start of the working week? Glorious clear blue skies (at least for now).

Typical.

I got caught in a monsoon yesterday.

Seriously....I had to stop the car as I couldn't see the road.

We've had two weeks of glorious weather and then bugger all but rain.

That said, in late spring we had six weeks with virtually no rain, so it is needed.
