Liverpool FC Forum / Re: Mohamed Salah - Best in the World *
« Last post by decosabute on Today at 12:07:36 am »
I don’t agree with this at all, I think he has had some good games that are probably just lost in the memory. He came back from Afcon and got shortly injured soon after, then got injured again if my memory recalls, I wouldn’t be so quick to write him off because I’m pretty sure people were saying similar last season and maybe even a couple seasons before after he came back from the AFCON.

What good performances? Fine saying that, but tell me when? I would say he looked great vs Bournemouth when he made his first comeback from injury - very lively, very creative. But ever since that game, where his injury reoccurred, he's done so little. Came on vs City and played a great pass soon after for Diaz, bud otherwise didn't look good.

Was subbed in both games at Old Trafford because he was so poor. Scored vs Brighton but missed chance after chance. A previous version of Salah would've had at least two or three from that game. Since then, he's either been sub or gotten subbed off, playing awful in each of the last four.

But despite how pissed off I am at his disappearance when we needed him the most, I still haven't "written him off" or definitely decided he needs to be sold.

You are the one who is rewriting history, I remember when hard Brexit meant leaving the single market and customs union before the Tory press got hold of the narrative.

Literally the first result on a Google search for 'hard brexit' to prove my memory isn't playing tricks on me.
https://ukandeu.ac.uk/the-facts/what-is-hard-brexit/
https://ukandeu.ac.uk/the-facts/what-is-soft-brexit/

Is there anything at all you won't blame the 'hard left' on or any discussion you won't bring Corbyn into? So fucking tiresome.
???  Corbyn became relevant when you tried to re-write history trying to claim Starmers Labour are hard Brexiteers. am setting the record straight.
Do you understand the conditions of being in the Single Market?
It means you have to agree and accept all EU rules and regulations. the hard left opposed this on principle, Corbyn argued we should be free to decide our own laws, that can only mean a hard Brexit as a soft brexit means accepting EU rules and regulations.

I understand the difference between a hard Brexit and a soft Brexit. a simple definition is we should be back in the single market which is basically a ready made deal you don't need to negotiate but there are other ways of achieving a soft Brexit, agree to as many EU rules and regulations as possible which will make trade between the UK and EU more reliable, cheaper and faster. your taking away the trade barriers,  that's impossible under the hard lefts policy on Brexit.

We looked clueless and lacked any quality to make a difference against a well drilled but very average team, all they needed to do was run at our players and we passed it to Ali.

The Salah chance may have changed things but collectively poor again.

This is a positive step - be interesting to see what Rishi & Co make of it.

They’ll never agree to it, the EU’s trying to brainwash our children into wanting to rejoin the EU or some such crap will be their argument.

I can't remember the last time we have struggled to play out from the back like that. Atalanta were comfortably the toughest team we have faced this season.

Yet they are 6th in Serie A. It was them playing good but it was mostly us having a meltdown apart from a few parts in the second leg.

At least we beat them away from home which is a plus, and I’m hoping that like all blips we have had this comes to an end but sooner rather than later.

Just feels like the rot has set in and I don't really see how we turn it round in the next 6 games, as I'm failing to see where the spark comes from. The returning players are not up to speed, the forwards are playing dreadfully and the defence has been shaky for well over a month.

I understand the players are tired, but watching that, that did not look to me a team who left it all out on the pitch tonight. Or who ever believed we might do it. Or were particularly arsed when we didn't.

That's the more immediately concerning thing - we barely gave them a game. I'm not seeing any anger from these players, it's all just so...flat. You don't just suddenly snap of that and go on a winning run.

Feel fucking dreadful after that. But I’m still here. 👋🏻

Knobhead  .  Nah , kidding mate .

We are still in with a chance an ' all that but I know when our footie club head drops.  I've seen it many times over the years and this is one of them. To win games and I know we won tonight you have to be playing football even at a basic level . It's something we haven't done in a awhile. Let's see what manifests .

His confidence is shot to bits is all.

Looks nervy on the ball, but the talent is there. Just needs a goal.

So, they were all like fucking Duracell bunnies last night but I really am struggling to understand how De Bruyne, who week after week in the season, is crimson-faced and blowing out his arse after 65 mins without fail is suddenly managing to sprint around the pitch like Usain Bolt crossed with Haile Gebreselassie for 120.

Remarkable how City and Pep manage to do it really.
