Mourinho and Manchester United are currently hoping that Liverpool will do them a favour in the race for 6th, by dealing a blow to their rivals for the final EL spot, Wolverhampton Wanderers, on Friday.

West Ham look well placed.
Mancs seem to be in pole, but this is football which does put them at a disadvantage.

For West Ham, it's pretty funny how as soon as they stopped playing Jack Wilshire in midfield they suddenly got better.

They're all shit, the soundtrack should be Benny Hill with highlights of Pickford's "save", Fellaini's "shot" and West Ham's Chewbacca roaring as we twist the knife on repeat.
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor

Hey Claus, fuck off.

You obviously didn't hear Mourinho yesterday - they will 'definitely' finish Top 6.

There is no race here. The mighty Man Utd have already won their precious Top 6 place.

West Ham wouldn't surprise me but I still think Utd will edge the race for sixth.

Evertonians are giddy about their improvement under Silva and compare themselves to a disintegrating Utd in the race for sixth. This from the team that were beaten at home by West Ham and gained a fortunate point against Watford (and beaten by away by Utd, another rival for sixth).

I shall keep a wary eye

For galloping giddy Evertonians ...

Big week for the teams looking for 6th place.

At the moment 6th isn't guaranteed a Europa League place. However, if Manchester City, Chelsea and one of Arsenal/Spurs progresses in the League Cup this week then there'll only be Middlesbrough or Burton Albion standing between that Europa League place being awarded to 6th.

Suspect teams from 6th to 13th will be cheering on Chelsea and City. Then that dream, that gold at the end of the rainbow can become reality and European football will be attained with a 6th place finish.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Unfortunately for the other RSB (revenge-seeking beast), I think Mourinho will just edge 6th if he somehow convinces Woodward to spend 200 odd millions on Ramos and Maguire in Jan.

Got to be Man Utd - the club, manager and players are the only one with experience in winning this, which I think will count massively in their favour at the business end of the season when the other clubs start losing their heads.

It'll be close, but I think that and the half a billion more than the others that they've spent should see them across the finish line.

This weekend is pivotal. Whoever is top at Christmas 9 times out of 10 will finish top at the end of the season. Utd only have Cardiff in their way from achieving that, so my moneys on them.
