They will finish 7th. Might come close to finishing in the top 6 above us or Arsenal but they will narrowly miss out.

Deffo in with a chance of Europe next season, more than likely Europa League, but could get top 4, stranger things have happened.

Wish they would hit their inevitable slump in form already, cannot be arsed with arrogant Newcastle fans everywhere, things were so much simpler when they could be easily abused in the championship.

I actually don't hate them as many here do,I think premier league is more fun with Newcastle Utd rather than having Blackpool,Wigan,Stoke City etc.

I think getting rid of the deadwood in the summer and previous winter transfer windows like Carroll and Enrique has brought the best out of them. It wouldn't surprise me if they won the league this season.

I placed a £20 wager at the bookies before season kicked off, Newcastle to finish in top 4, at odds of 100-1..  Hoping to have 2 Grand next May and a nice little trip to NYC out of it, if not well it's only £20 down the plug hole, and a bit of excitement.

Even though they are more competition for us, I am enjoying their renaissance. It's nice to see a different team having a go and their fans deserve it.

They might be now (a mere 11 games in) but I am 95% certain they won't be anywhere near us come April.

Hiya Jill.  I did say in my post 2 Grand, that is £2,000 plus my £20 back so £2,020.  I am not counting on it and think if we finish in the top 6 I would be very happy, 5th or 6th I wouldn't be in the money though but would have some exciting football to look forward to next season.

Don't think they'll finish in the champions league. But you never know. If Chelsea continue to play as they are, if Tottenham falter, and if we don't start scoring our oppurtunities - with a bit of luck, you never know.

I mean when Tottenham got into the champions league they needed a bit of luck and they got it, in the form of us being fucking diabolical. It's getting more possible I think.

Again, there is no reason why they cannot be in Champs League.

They are like the Aston Villa of few seasons ago who come very close to Champs League.

So if they have the composure to continue with this form at the end of the season, they should do well.

Before the season started I put a bet on for them to finish top 4 at odds of 100-1.    I probably won't be collecting on the bet but am enjoying myself so far this season.    :)

You'll just miss out on 4th due to goals scored, after a 90+9 minute goal is disallowed for offside even though it was a yard on.

You will then poo yourself.

I have absolutely no doubt they will finish below 6th, 7th being the most likely. They are easily the 7th best team so thats where they will finish. They are not close to the quality of at Top 4 team even though they are playing like that at the moment. They are overacheiving. Even today they were very lucky, obviously made a lot of their own luck.

Every team has both good and bad luck in every game they play.  I could say Man United were lucky not to have Rooney sent off, and their goal was as lucky as owt.

18th.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

they will finish 6th...i thought they would have done the usual "crash & burn" during the december period but they continue to surprise everyone.  Lets see where they are at the end of season.
