Plenty of time for it all to go wrong yet  ;D Chappell and Mickleson have collapsed on the back 9 on Sunday in recent weeks.

I meant back them before the start of the tournament and then lay them once the odds drop. :)

I always bet my 2 longest priced golfers in each tournament.
4x£1 EW Singles and 4x50p EW Doubles.
If it hits one week i'll be rich.

I've been doing that but only done Fathauer this week.

He was 300/1 tops at the bookies but I got nearly 700 on Betfair.

The place price in 20 points shorter than doing him EW at the bookies though but losing 400 points on the win is too much If he happened to go on and win it.

Hopefully Rumford has done enough to breeze the 3rd round and make the top 8 and get a bye in the first round of knockout games on Sunday :)

Oosthuizen is my only shot in Perth. He's absolutely superb at matchplay golf so I think he's the one to beat.

It's probably simpler to just lay all my own picks. ;D

Noren's missed the first cut since June, Matsuyama since August. And now Smith managed to bogey twice in the playoff.

Five of our picks are still in, three of whom are Gerry's. Only Rumford and Oosthuizen are guaranteed a point, though.

I owe Nacho Elvira a thanks because I read an article on the European Tour website where he said this "My fellow Spaniard Pep Angles has only had a couple of chances so far, because he didn’t get in in Abu Dhabi and he wasn’t in Dubai either. He didn’t have any Challenge Tour status at the start of last year, so getting your European Tour card with no status at the beginning of the year is a great accomplishment. I think Pep is going to do great this year". I saw this was a weak field and thought this might be the time to take a punt. He's doing well so far but he still needs to win his first match to guarantee points.

Very good pick, indeed. And the only one with odds over 100 still in play (of the ones we picked, of course).

Surprised Noren didn't hack up. He won about 4 times in the last 2 months of 2016 and I didn't pick him on any of those occasions  ;D

Jeev Mikha Singh has made the playoffs.

He was an absolute monstrous price before the start.  Remember thinking it was a big old price but didn't bother.

Good work Pete and Olly.

This tournament is a bit of a grey area, but I scored it as a knock-out tournament:

For knock-out tournaments, 10 points will go to the winner, 6 to the top 4, 3 to the top 8, and 1 to the top 16.

And since I decided that before the tournament started, you can't accuse me of doing it just because I scored zero either way (though you could say that was to be expected, given my current form :)).

The Super 6 event will involve a mini knock-out tournament on the final day, so only the last 16 will earn points.

That's fair enough  :)

Could be some twists and turns in America today with those at the top having to go 36 holes. Have to think fatigue could play a part by the end.

No, you don't. :)

the same tournament cannot be used for two bonuses, so picking three winners in a row will only result in one bonus being awarded.

I still think DJ is the man to beat. He didn't really even play that well for a lot of yesterday and still posted a 66. He's also got the added motivation of potentially becoming the new World number 1 if he wins and Day finishes in a 3 way tie for third or worse.

To be fair there is some mileage in your strategy I think. I haven't had a single winner so far yet I'm still out in front largely thanks to high finishes from 100/1+ shots. Hadwin, DeLaet and Bradley have earned me about half of my points.

And here we go, Haas joins Rodgers in the top 10, while Johnson' has the win wrapped up with 15 holes to spare. Only a matter of time before Na makes a quadruple bogey.
