Speaks volumes that James Pearce tweeted Lallana would leave at the end of the season, and yet this thread was still at the bottom of the second page.

He was a good servant for 2 years, and arguably our best player in one of them, but he has been a complete non-factor for 2.5 seasons now. Hope he can find his right level wherever that is (I really think he would suit La Liga).

When did he tweet this?

Wish people will stop making things ups.

Considering he's out of contract and hasn't been offered a new one, he will have to leave end of season. Still got a lot of games to play this season, so let's not write him off just yet, eh?

Massive opportunity for Adam to get back into the thick of things.
er...as long as he can adapt to being centre back.

(funny as it sounds, against park the bus teams, him and Gini might be the sort of DM and CD we need anyway, to circulate the ball from the back and keep possession intelligently to break down the bus)

For me, Lallana seems to fall in the same box as Kewell and Sturridge in terms of very talented players who can't contribute because they don't play. Sad, but that's the reality.

I like him. I wouldn't mind him staying for a season or two. Although we're quite crowded in the attacking midfield, i think we're about to fight in all fronts constantly, so we gonna need everyone in order to win trophies as much as possible. On the other hand, i understand if the club have different plans. The likes of Brewster, Curtis Jones and Harvey, are gonna need minutes so they can develop.

Either way, what a time this is to be a red!

How about we don't keep selling our players off in these pages, and just leave it to Klopp and co. So many had sold-off Origi in their minds and words and look where he is now. It wasn't that long ago that Shaq and Keita were being spoken about by some as if they had no future here. Even Milner was already decorating his Leeds apartment according to some. Go back further and I recall talk about 'Hendo's last game for us' and so on.

Lallana might have a storming back end of the season and get a new contract. Who knows? Just enjoy what we have, have hope that all players will play and amazing part in another fantastic story - Lallana hattrick against City on the CL semis, anyone? - and then see what the club decide to do.

Would love a fit Lallana for the final push.

Also the number of times he opened up the pitch to create space for the man on the ball by charging beyond the Flamengo defence and sending their entire back line towards its own goal. He was perpetual motion when he came on. The high octane approach that Klopp loves so much.

Yes
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I meant which game will he start? Or maybe both?

Something like Henderson, Keita, Lallana Thursday and Wijnaldum, Jones, Milner on Sunday.

It depends if Milner is needed full back as well, as he'll probably play full back on Thursday at least.

Agreed.  He presses brilliantly, and just doesn't stop.

On this game's performance? Lallana is a great talent and was fantastic today, but he's a player that won't be involved in too many games. When he's been groomed for the No.6 position and doesn't play there with Fabinho out, you know the answer yourself.

Is argue he presses better than Naby, and although Naby made two good tackles today tracking back, Lallana does that better on the whole as well.

I'd argue they're both excellent players to have and both strengthen the squad and that there's room for both of them at the club?
