give us the "friends" name
you must understand someone that works for the club or provides a service to the club. If they reveal too much info that would identify them as the whistleblower, their job is in jeopardy.

his dad plays golf at caldy and lives a few miles away from Benitez house - pretty local if not scouse

Interesting Montse took up golf and put her kids back in school in Liverpool 3 weeks before Rafa left Inter. To me that speech Rafa made after winning the club world cup was fairly deliberately aimed to get him fired.

Yes, apart from the actual sale of the club he's always come across as having a negative impact, and like Parry, involving himself in the football side of things when he knows nothing about it.

My closest friend is Assistant Manager at a Championship Club. He has all of his coaching badges and indeed was taught by Mr Hodgson on an UEFA course 5 years ago. He has 300 premiership games under his belt and has worked with several Premiership coaches/managers; Hence he knows what he is talking about. He is also a LFC fan with strong links with the club.

To me that seems to read as 300PL games under his belt in some sort of assisting managerial position rather than as a player.

I would have quite liked Coyle but i'm not sure he has the standing within the game to deal with soe of these personalities, Christ do we need a strong guy taking over in the summer

Incidently isn't Kenny really close to Carra and Stevie, what type of influence would they have over each other if he comes in on the short term??

Further to the Steve Wigley suggestion, when he took over as manager of Southampton in 2004, there was a big deal made about him not having certain Uefa badges/qualifications. He now holds these, so would have sat a Uefa course at some stage within the past 6 possibly 5 years.

Wouldnt bother me right now - and you can include Torres in that too. Player power or uncommitted players are two cancers that no club can flurish with.

Me neither mate. We need a fresh start and clean slate. Rafa would need that too if he was coming back.

But, apparently at least 50% of the fans wanted Rafa out. I don't think they can just be ignored. Lose a few games and they will be on Rafa's back straight away.

I definitely think the guy is legit. It saddens me that people will slag him off yet be willing to comment on random tweets as if they are somehow more valid. Fair play to the guy.

Regardless of this information, one thing is for sure and it's that there's a terrible culture/mentality at our club.  It may well be necessary to shift on a lot of current players including high profile ones in order to break that trend.

Another thing I firmly believe is that Rafa will forever be the greatest manager we never had. I hope people know what I mean by that!! Such a travesty that he never had good owners behind him. I think he would have made Ferguson look like chump.

Hoole is a step up from most places its one of the dearest places in Chester to buy. There are plenty of steps down from Kingsway, its hardly the fucking bronx.
Like any where in Chester loads of Mancs loads of Reds and loads of Blues, plus a very good proportion of Chester fans.

The info fits the events well, i am also not saying its true but as explanations go it definitely fits

Anyone else feel there's a whiff of premeditated and calculated leakage here. Seems to be exposing the main c*nt we want out of the club, while maybe exposing some of our more popular players as having a little too much say.

Well it could be I suppose. I assumed his parents lived where he grew up. Maybe they moved. Has Steve Wigley got 300 PL games as a player and/or coach to his name? What are his strong links to LFC? I am not disputing your case, I am trying to work through the detail to see if its him.

I think that translates to 50% of fans need to switch off SSN and stop buying papers. In fact, it would do us all (fans, players and manager) a favour during the upcoming transition to do just that

Contract fulfilment?

Could be easier for NESV to have Cecil see out his contract in an 'advisory' role. They don't even have to listen to him. Then They're both happy. Cecil's getting paid, isn't he.

So if you are JWH and you hear any of those tales above from a player or other Anfield staff member you would not like to be able to ask Purslow for his take?
So when you realise that Torres has a release clause in his contract you wouldn't want to be able to ask Purslow why?

Well Torres is pretty much gone in the summer im sure, will take a miracle for him to stay and im not really sure I actually want him to stay. Carra with his new contract will be very hard to shift, and I cant see Gerrard leaving as the realistic options of clubs for him to go to is probably quite small now considering his age.

don't think rafa would lose a few games unless there's an injury crisis
it's a shame there are huge obstacles to his return in the shape of the captain, vice captain and senior sources
but he has unfinished business and will be back one day
