53 mins Liverpool win a corner which Carroll meets with a flying header but Saha clears with a volley. Looked on target

55 mins another Liverpool corner which Carroll gets to again this time. Howard saves and its another corner. Positive stuff from Carroll.

Third corner is straight into Howards hands

Constant pressure from Liverpool leading to a few good chances and some last ditch saves from Howard and Saha. Really piling on the pressure. We need to convert our chances though, game should be ours.

56 mins Everton seem to be more of a threat this second half. They're keeping the ball along the ground pass and move. Something we seem to have forgotten to do

Suarez us fouled on the half way line and Adam trys to shoot but its high wide not very handsome. Wasteful

58 mins Carroll is a different man this second half. Seems to be on the end of everthing causing Everton all sorts of problems.

This time he forces Distin to fluff a clearance for a throw in. From the throw in Lucas shoots but the less said the better.

Think the game is perfect for Gerrard to come in for Adam. Take the game by the scruff of the neck and lead the team to victory!

This game is crying out for Stevie. Our end ball has been lacking quite a bit here imo. Adam looked a bit quicker on the ball a few miuntes ago (which is def a good thing!). Suarez is having problems with getting anything really.

our joy is coming down the right hand side Kelly time after time is having plenty of space but we seem to struggle to get a decent ball out to him

61:00 Baines finds a pass to Saha about 35 yards out , defenders back off and let him turn , have a smoke, comb his hair, read the morning papers and finally has a crack on goal. It's wide, and Pepe goes absolutely mental at his defenders!

Radical idea I know, but can we maybe get tight to Everton´s only attacking player. Saha will fucking murder us if we just gave him space to take 5 touches unchallenged before firing off a shot under no pressure. Fucking SHOCKING!

Everton have played really well with 10 men, but Liverpool have really lost it here. Gerrard will give them all a kick in the arse!

Downing for Bellamy?? Strange, but Kuyt gives that bit more hard working defensive part.

Downing off might be a good shout. Suggests we are going 4-2-4 almost in attack, with Gerrard supporting the edge of the box. We have nearly all the possession anyway.

68:00 Kuyt up the middle is taking out by Fellani and it's a freekick on the edge of the box. Gerrard over it. Curled in and Suarez wins the header but it's over the bar.

Downing poor again, just can't get into the game. CM has gone awol again, poor Adam huffing and puffing the heat can't be good for his Scottish constitution. Carroll disappointing again. Well at least Enrique continues to shine.

Thought Downing was doing ok in the first half, but probably fell back a bit in the second half.

Not that strange. Kuyt is a goalscorer. Of all the people on the pitch he is the one who is most likely to pop up in the box and tuck one away.

Our passing today has been very very wayward. Not putting together the 1-2's or finding the man with a crisp clean ball. very disappointing.

Ok, so with a man down, Everton will pull back Cahill into midfield, giving our back four more time. This means we should be able to push up our full backs more, with more crosses. Carroll to score.
