60 mins - Not much going on at either end of the pitch. Lots of heavy legs, bad touches, and not much cohesion, as you'd expect. Can't for the life of me work out why we've played one upfront for both the first and second half now.

Malaysia making 2 changes. That's pretty much all I can tell you. Cept one was number 8 and on is number 9.
The guy who scored the freekick has gone off , so that's a plus.

It´s clearly how we will line up next season then.... Suarez seems vital to it though as he plays as a wide forward instead of a wide midfielder. If we had Suarez instead of Raul first half for example, Carroll would never have been that isolated.

Maxi and Kuyt are usually better at supporting the CF though so I am hoping the 2nd half improves

Kelly trying to overcomplicate things and looses possession. Thats maybe the third time one of our defenders has dwelled on the ball and lost it this game. Hope that is cut out before Sunderland

64 mins - Some good work from Ngog to chase down a ball heading out of play. He keeps it in, lays it back for Dirk, who puts it across the 6 yard box where Aquliani doesn't get the contact he wanted and the ball goes wide instead.

Ngog does some showboating skills in the middle before giving the ball to Insua, who then rifles in a cross which is fucked up completely by two Malaysia defenders, leaving Ngog to stick the ball in to the back of the net on the stretch.

Then lightening fast reactions to score there. Credit where it´s due..... that was well played by the frenchman

I think the main problem with N´Gog staying is he has 11 months on his contract and if it is true he is on 15k a week, he would probably ask double that to stay.

71 mins - Some nice work from Aquilani again, gives it to Kuyt who plays a 40 yard ball in to space for Maxi, who for some inexplicable reason decides he'll take the first touch on his bonce and heads it out of play. Fuck knows why.

77 mins Malaysia quick on the break, some good passing by the midfield gets the ball to the striker who turns Kelly and gets to the edge of the box, rifles a shot on goal, Gulacsi makes a good save and the defense mops up.

80 mins Goal Malaysia, a great run down the wing , cuts back the ball onto the 6 yard box, Hansen gets a hand to it, but manages to palm it into the path of the striker and it's an easy tap in. Not great defending or goal keeping from liverpooll

I don't like the formation, but I guarantee you with Aquilani on the pitch and Carroll off of it that ball spends more time along the floor. Much better way to approach the game, and we need players like him in the side, it's that simple for me.
