Crucial match for us. It is difficult to predict how we will lineup with Mane out. Luckily this is his last game out through suspension. I think the big question is whether or not Coutinho will play in midfield. Ideally I would like to see him in a midfield three with Wijnaldum and one of Can/Henderson, while Salah, Sturridge, and Firmino round out the front three. Ultimately, I think Klopp will pick a midfield of Can, Henderson, and Coutinho though.

The defense is a little bit easier to predict in my opinion. Considering Gomez and Robertson played 90 minutes yesterday, I expect to see Moreno and Trent as the fullbacks, with Mignolet back in goal.

There is some trepidation after that run of results, but recovering from these setbacks in a season is part of the grind. High time we shelved Gini-Can-Hendo and give it the cursed relic treatment seen in horror movies. Lock it up and throw away the key.

We've got options all over the pitch but it's hard to be firm in midfield and defence and say this specific combination of players is our best bet, no one has earned a shirt there yet. Hope the players show the same faith in Klopp that they were very happy to talk about when things were going swimmingly well. The mark of quality is how you react now, who will take responsibility in the game when necessary, who will pass it off.

Although it's all gone a bit tits up since the City game, I really do feel we've been unlucky at times as well.

City - very debatable red card.
Sevilla - missed pen, that goes in we win it.
Leciester - just didn't bury the chances in the first half and paid for it.


I'd be far more worried if we weren't creating chances or the players didn't look assed. Neither of that is happening.

Coutinho back to full fitness and Mane coming back (and later Lallana) will make a world of difference.

It's just too inconsistent bar the three attackers. The likes of sturridge, firmino, mane, coutinho, salah are class. We need that kind of quality in the other 7/8 positions. The fact is some days the midfield and defence are an 8, the next week a 3. They just don't have the sufficient quality to sustain a high level week after week.
