Brilliant show season 2,3,4 and 6 are all excellent. Walton Goggins is such a great actor his acting in this and later seasons of the Shield is a 10/10

Boyd Crowder is defeintly one of the greatest TV characters ever made and his dialogue is so well written.

Yeah, it's brilliant. First season follows a bit of a 'case of the week' approach, so some are better than others, but then it becomes more serialised and is better for it.

Watched it recently. Would recommend to practically everyone I know  ;D - Such a brilliant series. Great characters and writing all round. Boyd is one of the best characters that's been on telly this century IMO. I don't know anything about crime in rural Kentucky communities, but I feel as if they must have nailed the world pretty well  ;D

A fantastic show from start to finish. It has strong dialogue and it never loses its sense of humor. Walton Goggins is a hugely underrated actor.

Margo Martindale and Jeremy Davies as Mags and Dickie , I don't know how Margo does this time and time again but she is a brilliant actress.
Great series I watch this from time to time and I've got to be honest my favorite character is Dewey Crowe (never knew the actor was an Aussie until I saw him in Mr Inbetween)

Get the fuck in. Can't wait for this.

Going to be weird seeing Raylan outside of Kentucky. I have every feeling to believe it'll be a belter though.

Hoping for some mad new characters. Another villain for the ages too.

Depends just how loosely the book gets adapted, which I imagine will be a lot seeing as Raylan ain’t in it I think :D

Could well just adapt a load of Elmore Leonard work for the character.

He is in it, but only for a bit, I wouldn’t even classify him as a secondary character in it.  It sounds like they’re going to adapt it in a way that makes him the lead.  Justified is one of the most underrated shows of all time, so Im all over this.

Nice - Quentin Tarantino in talks to direct a few episodes of the revival. Considering how much of his work is inspired by Elmore Leonard, he should be a great fit.

That'd be great. Olyphant was in his last film, too.

Got high hopes for this revival. Interesting to see how it is without a few key characters from the original and not set in Kentucky

Can't wait for it, not been looking forward to watching something like this in a while. I'm not sure it'll be on the same level as the original series but I'm not sure it has to be, there should be enough about it to make it a fun watch. Bit wild that the new one isn't set in Kentucky which I feel has to take something away from it.

It’s based on another Elmore Leonard novel. The character of Raylan Givens first appeared in Leonard’s novels “Pronto” and “Riding the Rap.” He later appeared in the short story “Fire in the Hole,” which served as the basis for “Justified.” The revival is based on yet another Leonard work: the 1980 crime novel “City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit,” though the book does not feature Raylan. The story, which is set in Detroit and follows dangerous criminal Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman (portrayed by Boyd Holbrook in the show), is being updated to include the character.

It's an Elmore Leonard based storyline, that'll do me.

No such patience here. I’m looking forward to the dynamic between Olyphant and his daughter in the series, whose played by his daughter, Vivian Olyphant. You know she’ll be in trouble or danger early on.

I think this show has been one of the best in the last two decades, hopefully it’ll keep that Leonard feel that makes all the good adaptations of his work better.

If you change your mind the first two episodes are “available” here.

Solid two opening episodes. Like the putz above says, world building first episode, but it comes alive in the second ep.

People who know Mel Brooks will get the putz crack. ;D

I can not fucking wait until September to watch this. It's like one of those comfort series, superb stuff.

Hoping the new ones are good. Interesting to see how it is without various side characters and the Kentucky setting itself. Boyd Crowder has probably been my favourite character in anything in the last 10/15 years on telly, and he was a pretty bad man  ;D

Legendary villain. Did a rewatch of the whole series not too long ago and it holds up so well - just brilliantly crafted. Barely a misstep, although Michael Rapaport as the main villain in Season 5 is up there.

And the last scene between Raylan and Boyd is so well written. For a show as explosive as Justified to end with a simple conversation between the hero and the villain was inspired, as was the last line.
