Van Dijk to sign? We're gonna get Southampton at home, aren't we?

The ticket office have put there predictions for all 19 home games on the web site for hospitality tickets starting with Watford at home and finishing with West Ham. Dates to be confirmed, I can't work out how they have come up with the order of games before the 14 June (official release date)

Watford
Leicester
Stoke
Burnley
Swansea
Huddersfield
Brighton
Newcastle
crystal palace
WBA
Man city
Arsenal
Chelsea
Tottenham
Southampton
Bournemouth
Man U
Everton
west ham

That just looks like it's completely random to be fair. We had all the big games at home in the second half of last season, I doubt it'll be the same this year.

I think we'll get Stoke at home first.

Man Utd nailed on for Huddersfield at home.

My guess would still be Away for the first fixture as the club is putting in new under soil heating equipment and relaying a new pitch.

I don't think we can just ask that for that reason. Think it has to be something major like with the new stand.

Heard a few rumours that we'll be away the 1st game of the season due to work on the pitch. Or at least we've asked to play away 1st game of the season anyway.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

If the pitch isn't ready it will mean they can't play a pre season friendly on it.

This game would pay for the new pitch twice over so surely they get it sorted in 2.5 months.

Questions would be asked of the club if we didn't have a pitch ready by August. The contractor would be given a date to finish which he has to meet probably by increasing the numbers working on it.

you're right but suspect we wont have a home pre season game - not needed and gives contingency time for works

If we can make requests i reckon you'd ask for an away opening - again gives a few more growing days for the new surface

no harm in asking and taking a bit of pressure off. Only thing with the pitch is you can only throw number as it to point of it being laid etc - if weather then turns to non conducive for growing your stuffed!

I'm guessing West Ham (A) then Arsenal (H) are the first two.

Um, am I being dense or aren't we playing a Champions League qualifier (home and away)? So the pitch will have to be used, no?

Based on our last start of the season, we can expect to come flying out of the box so the first 5 or so fixtures, someone will get a hammering.

Ideally we will be hammering our CL qualifier opponent as well. PL opener - CL leg 1 - PL game 2 - CL leg 2.

Yes, I second the sentiment that hopefully we can get the most difficult fixtures out of the way in the first half. That would be marvellous.
