Girlfriend and I are planning to reroute our vacation to Greece to Paris. Anyone know if anything on the screening has been mentioned?

I see people mentioning some restaurants with reservations , are we sure they have TVs and a showing for the game ?

Also how can I get in on this WhatsApp group ?

Nothing about a screening yet, just rumours (off social media) that go from possible places for a venue to there being absolutely no chance of a public screening. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. In terms of restaurants and other places showing the game, people are either getting in touch with them and asking, if they have the final on, or the places advertise it themselves like with the Chalet du Lac one. I've gone for that, but it can be cancelled for free until the 27th I think. Loads of other people have made reservations for that as well I think judging by posts in here and people in the WhatsAppp-group...

You should be able to send/receive pm's now. You'd need to find the person in this thread that started it mate, could be a couple of pages back.

Do I need a certain amount of posts to DM ?

I see that someone else mentioned it, I've tried messaging @SouthDerryLaggo but it's asking for an email auth code in order to send the message.

Thanks!

Will be interesting to see what Rangers manage to do for their supporters in Seville. Looks like they're trying to get a public viewing going in the other stadium of the city. Surely, Liverpool could do something similar in Paris.

Hi lads/lasses, I've also just booked the Chalet Du Lac for the final (looks good) as I am heading out to Paris for 1 week solo from Edinburgh, Scotland (Wed 25th May - Wed 1s June) so would be great to be added to WhatsApp group if possible please mods?

Was over in Madrid for a week in 2019 and hoping this time around will be just as good. Ta

I believe the club are still looking into the fan zone with a real prospect that they could put a screen up there to show the game. The club are still in talks with French authorities as the location of the Fan Zone has changed a number of times recently.

The club are genuinely trying to get something sorted so watch this space.

Fingers crossed. I am expecting there will definitely be some kind of fan-zone. Whether or not there will be screens is a different issue.

they've announced the UEFA fan zones in Saint-Denis and Paris, big trophy, shop, activities although they've said no screening so I'm assuming that'll be a different arrangement if happening

Also looking for tickets to the TAW One Night in Paris on Friday night if someone can no longer use them.

I have got 3 different sales links to this thing and not once have I seen any tickets appear on them, just seems like it’s more a private thing than anything and was pointless advertising.it to everyone.

I don´t know how much you like to put away but €100 is at least 10 Parisian pints just paying at the bar. I´m a skinny fuck so 10 pints in three hours would put me on my arse. Unless you have finer tastes probably not worth it!!

I'm not sure, but it looks like the place has various different areas, so it could be a bit of both depending on how they set it up. One thing I just came across while googling it, apparently it was the place where the Sex Pistols had their first concert in Paris. ;)

Also waiting  to see if the club can work something out with the French for us to gather to watch the game.

Obviously I wont need this if someone wants to give me 5 tickets - so get a move on  ;D

I live about 20km from the Stade de France. I called the St Denis town hall on Monday asking whether a screen was going to be provided in the centre of town, seems unlikely. I help run an U16 team here and had the contact number for the coach of Cosmos St Denis, the team closest to the Stadium. They are providing the ball boys for the final. During the EURO 2016, all the towns near the stadium had giant screens in Park communal areas. There was a huge fan zone near the Eiffel Tower on the Champs de Mars. I think the French authorities don't realise the volume of Kopites that will be descending on Paris next week. The french press are saying a screen will be in the centre of St Denis, but the town is too cramped and compact to accomodate the 50000 reds who'll be wanting to watch. Not forgetting that St Denis can get a bit tasty.
