I hope Firmino is back for City, along with Hendo and Lovren.

no lovren, henderson or firmino. was this known/expected? only expected henderson to be a doubt

our bench is not ideal! if we need a goal, and coutinho starts cramping up again, it's woodburn or wilson

Would of liked a change of formation and personnel today in the form of Moreno and a wing back system.

We should gave enough but I worry about chance creation through our full backs providing the width and hope we don't become too narrow and pedestrian.

Dat FSG investment shining through with the bench we have out, cheers John.

He is so injury prone its unreal. Granted an impact injury can happen to anyone but he misses so many.

With really only 3 first team injuries plus Sturridge ... criminally thin squad
Hopefully it won't matter today

I know it's not ideal but I'm actually really excited to see one of them. Hopefully Moreno isn't preferred.

No doubt they will "park the bus" and try to hit us on the break.

we all already know that just that we dont learn from it.

hopefully today would be different.

i'll even take a goal deflected off milners ass if it means 3 points.

To be fair 3 injuries in the same position up front would leave everyone struggling. Firmino, Ings and Sturridge out there.

It would be good to bring on one of the youngsters at sometime Burnley won't know anything about them at all. A bit of unpredictability can be a positive thing.

Had a feeling Wilson would come into the squad today if Firmino was out. Bench is very weak but Klopp hardly makes subs anyway. Strange how we have managed to get so many injuries but very few in matches, nearly all in training.

That bench screams under investment in the playing squad.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

Ings lol
Not having a midfield change is as big a problem and has cost us in some second halves.
Have to say thought Woodburn looked exceptional when he was dropped in to play the 8 away vs Plymouth so you could do that for Lallana or Gini if needed.
Klopps showed a massive reluctance to use the kids at all though in league games so unless we're 3-0 up our bench is basically Lucas and Moreno

What is going on with Loven is brutal. A big number of games missed in a non Europe season. What a shame.

True wish he would throw them in, in more important games literally us putting on senior players due to their experience and not suitability in the past which is wrong in my eyes of course.

Real shame that Firmino hasn't made it but a good chance for Origi to show progress after last weeks cameo. Obviously, the win is all important and we need to start like we mean it.

We are definitely short but in terms of up front though we are a bit unlucky. Ings is not a bad 4th choice when you play 1 man up front.

And a bit at odds with the public pronouncements about development and so on

Anyway a team with Mane Coutinho and Lallana in it should be much too much for Burnley so hopefully we can see Benny and Wilson get a run out at 4-0 with 20 to go :)

Great to see the academy lads on the bench :)

I reckon a convincing win today will feel better than even our win against Arsenal because of what it would represent.
.. hell, I'd take any kind of win all things considered ;D

Still three quarters of a hour to go yet! Hoping for a win, which I think we'll get.

I hope Firmino is back for City, along with Hendo and Lovren.

I would say at least Firmino and Lovren will back for City, their injuries are relatively minor.

Part of me rather likes our bench. Reminds me of Klopp at Dortmund. His faith in young players is exceptional and risky. This match will be a ride if we don't score a few in the first half.

Very young bench but that's not necessarily a bad thing if the first eleven do their job. I don't want to tempt fate, but if that team can't beat Burnley at home then we don't deserve a shot at the top four.

Made up for Harry Wilson. In an ideal world we'd be 4 up by 60 minutes and he could get half an hour of premiership football. Slightly terrifying that he and Woodburn are the only attacking options if it's 0-0 at 80 minutes but it could be the making of one or both of them. Great stories have got to begin somewhere.

I agree, but this has nothing to do with him having faith in youngsters right now, we just don't have anyone else. So they're there by default.
