He's frustrating. A rough diamond.
But whisper it quietly, his goal stats are not dissimilar to Firminho's...... around one in three. As for assists, I'm not sure.

Sorry mate, while that might be true, they are light years from each other in terms of intelligence on the pitch.

His misses have cost us games, and he lacks the instincts of a true striker. Useful as a wide forward, but not the main striker we hang out hopes on.

I did feel just empty after Palace and Man Utd. But now that feeling like shit feeling is hitting me and it sucks big time.

As the year drags on, I can’t help but be awed by how much the man has sacrificed for us. It’s obvious to me that he needed a rest this season, but he refused to leave on the sour note of last year.

Oh come on, I love the man but sacrifice, really ?

Do you ever watch his press conferences when journalist ask stupid questions continually a lot of which they base, from what they are hearing around them. Yes, he will bat it away but the idea that stuff like this doesn't eventually stop eating inside you is undeniable. Klopp has never been someone who stays beyond what he senses is a positive environment, he was ready to go last season and it was just as bad then.

If Jurgen gets asked about Darwin's finishing it more likely because of Carra Neville etc than someone on RAWK being negative.

This isnt unique to us, didnt someone say Haaland was like a league 2 player

We need some perspective.

they'll end up collapsing in any case, look at how many are back under public control at the moment

Six, at the last count. All of the others expire inside the next five years - unless the government can find a reason to seize control ahead of time.

That might actually happen if the companies have decided they've made their money and just allow services to go to pot rather than spending any more money on them.

The emissions targets were never gonna be met under current conditions, Greens have just shot themselves in the foot considering their outsized influence on government.

From what I have read it's the SNP that have jumped the gun and ended it? Though seems like more a case of jumping before you are pushed.

I think it's a mistake by the SNP and from those in the Greens that were pushing to end it.

The SNP are going to need the Greens to get stuff through, and that would have been easier if they had let the Greens be the ones to end the deal.

Van Dijk: “Arne Slot is one of the better Dutch coaches at the moment”.

“With the way he plays, the philosophy he has, he can be a Liverpool coach”.

“But I read and hear that it is far from complete. We shall see. We will focus on that next season, still a long way off”.

I don’t know when or where he said that but apparently he did. Pretty much confirms it all. Anyway, “one of the better Dutch coaches at the moment” isn’t much of an endorsement :D

What the fuck do you want him to say? Slot is the second coming of Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff combined?

It would be lovely to not care about the football so much, wouldn't it? The times in my life where I've been the absolute happiest have just happened to coincide either with major trophies won or exciting challenges. I'm sure it's not coincidence. Last night was an exact sinking feeling I only remember a few other times- Palace 2014, the red Mancs winning late at Wigan in 2009 and the Kompany screamer in 2019. How many hours spent hoping and dreaming and then ..it's over. Klopp on his way out, looking absolutely spent. Yes, I need a hug.

Being optimistic, you never know what the future holds. Perhaps Klopps greatest achievement could go down as the legacy he leaves behind. A couple of players could probably use some fresh ideas.

One area that has seen a drop from roughly one in two, to only one goal in four games is on the left wing, where Diaz has replaced Mane.
From that position in years gone by, Mane would have added an average of around 8 extra goals at this stage of the season.
Fact is, we have not one but two players in our front three who are a bit lacking when it comes to being clinical. Added into the equation is the injury situation regarding Diaz, Mo and Jota, that hasn't helped.

The comparisons to Firmino are meaningless. They are pretty much polar opposites as players and have/had totally different roles individually and for the team.
