Except the two wide forwards aren’t wide forwards
Wonder if it’ll be slightly tweaked so it’s more of a 4222 ish set up

Think Jota is fine as the wide left option, maybe not as effective as he is through the middle, but way better than he is on the right.
Sit down, shock is better taken with bent knees.

? Gordon is 17. He’s slight. No way should he be starting a game against premier leaguers. Unless we are ok with the extremely high likelihood that he will be ineffective.

so just persevere with what we know doesnt work

Formation less important than how we play I think. Get Jones and Ox running at them, and looking for little give and goes to open them up and hopefully that frees up space for Jota or Bobby.

We've lost 2 matches in all competitions this season.

I'd say Jurgen knows what works.

Yeah, whatever shape we drop into off the ball, going forward Jones is going to be drifting to the left of centre, Ox to the right and Jota getting into the box.

The focus now should not be on who the owners are, but limits on what owners can do without formal supporter agreement. At all clubs.

Even if that was true, there would be better ways to change things up than potentially destroying the confidence of a 17 year old.

Good to see Curtis start. I'm guessing Ox will play on the right which puts Jota on the left where he is more comfortable.

Such a crucial game, both in terms of result and performance. We need to play like ourselves, not this ponderous version we saw on Thursday. Play properly and we will create chances and score goals even without Mane and Salah.
