Does anyone know why this will be the last service held at Anfield? Apologies in advance for asking what might seem an obvious question.

No 17 bus is the one you want.

Go to the journey planner on the left.

Insert details:   Walton Breck Road  --  to --  Lime Street station.
                                   \/                                                \/
Select - Anfield Venice Street       -------       Liverpool Lime St Station.

When the bus times come up, click on the bus symbol, and you get a little drop down, with the bus number, times etc.

Haven't been since the year after Burnham got heckled and it turned into a pantomine with single mums taking their kids for a day out.

Once the inquest is done, hopefully we can let it lie.

It's the last one anyway Giovanni. Hopefully the mood will be more positive. Depends on the verdict. Hopefully it will be a celebration of 27 years' campaigning, in which case let it be a celebration (but if the whoppers can keep their shopping bags and selfie sticks and kids under control, that'd be a bonus).

Will anybody be broadcasting the service live ?

If I remember rightly Liverpool Fc have it live on their website and I believe Sky sports News have broadcasted it live a few times

Is this still the case this year?

Are physical tickets being mailed out? or will they be able to be collected from the ticket office the day of or before?

What normally happens is that the ticket office is open on the day for a while - what also has happened in the past is that "unused" tickets handed back to stewards are collected and then handed out to people who turn up on the day. Give though that this is the last service, demand is expected to be high (especially since the Kop was booked out ages ago). That said, as it stands, I have have couple of tickets unclaimed yet (as I block-booked for a few peeps who had already made their own plans) and I am sure I am not alone in that regard. I'd expect there to be as many people as can be allowed in to be allowed in, with the handing out of returned tickets taking place again.

Still cant get myself to go. Its tough living with the emotions as it is. This is the last one and I respect the families wishes...So there is no chance I will ever go. I have been putting it back year after year... Maybe its too much for some...for me it is.

Tickets can be collected on the day of the memorial service for those with overseas mailing addresses.
Just have to call the Ticket office to reserve them in your name.

What the stewards have done in the past outside the ground is collect 'unused' from people turning up with them and then vocally letting people know that they can take unused from them there and then.

If I end up with any leftovers I'll be seeking the stewards out to hand them over.....

In fairness, whilst that's true enough per se, I doubt that's the principle reason. Margaret Aspinall has gone on record to explain why she believed it was right to call it a day with the services.

Still no sign of tickets I ordered over 2 weeks ago. Rang club and they said they are being sent out in batches. Also given me reference number if they don't arrive and I can collect duplicates from ticket office on day of service.

Really stressing me out. I have only been to 1 service and left before end as I was really struggling. I was 50 / 50 about going to this year's service but my girlfriend has talked me round and is coming to support me. I don't need to be stressing about getting the tickets especially as I am travelling ahead of the service.

Don't know if this is the correct place or question to ask here but if anyone knows of or has a spare ticket for this I would happily take it. I`ve been wrapped up in my own struggles recently and didn`t get round to getting one from the club.

I`ve been to around twenty of the last twenty six services and I`m gutted I currently won`t be going to the final one  :-[

For this the club need to be more flexible and also sympathetic - can't believe they just stop issuing tickets on a certain date.  Surely they know, given the nature of the occasion and the fact that many survivors are still not even close to coming to terms with what happened, that there are may who leave it until very late to decide to attend.

Maybe email someone high up in the club and point the above out.

Actually I am not surprised given the way the club has treated survivors all these years

Thank you for the link. I was always aware of the photos on RAWK, but for some reason today, they became more moving. For every face I saw, I felt I had to make a comment; whether 'what a handsome boy', 'such a cheeky face', it just went on. But I agree with you, the ages of these dear boys and girls, the younger they were the harder it was for me.

Online coverage suspended due to the ruling from the Inquest Coroner. Presumably concerns around the content of various speeches during the service, although no prior warning appeared to be given by the Club or the BBC.
