[20 Feb 2015]: I've been in the bar at tcr before and its not a good place to watch football. The screen is small and it gets quite busy at times so your view might get restricted. [14 Apr 2016]: I have a table booked at Nook Bar in Covent Garden for the match tonight, the last review for it on here seems to be from 2008 so I can let you all know how it is tomorrow. I can also recommend the Walkabout in Temple as it’s where I watched last week’s game, quite a few Reds and Germans in there so it was impossible to get a table beyond 7pm even with the large amount of seats and tables. Loads of screens and floor space though. A fair few after work drinkers not interested in the football were hanging around too.
[14 Apr 2016]: Been To Nook Bar few times myself, always thought it wasn't great for atmosphere, you're probably better off going down to Maple Leaf, or Walkabout again, both are down the road from Nook. I could be wrong though.
[15 Apr 2016]: So as it turns out the Nook bar was pretty empty, good in some ways as we had no problem getting a table or served quickly but atmosphere was non-existent. [4 May 2007]: This was posted earlier on EST forum - Temple Walkabout holds 950 people in 2 rooms, Flat screen TV's everywhere, plus 3 Projectors + BIG Screens. Best place in London to watch footy/rugby cricket. Wicked atmosphere, was there for Rugby World Cup 2003. (btw cheers is full of eastern Europeans whenever I have been there) [This message has been edited by djwozza (edited 04 May 2007).] ****** I know the guy who owns the Temple walkabout franchise. We've already had the banter and his view is this - as many red as as possible (950 capacity) to come down as early as possible, bring loads of flags to get the place drapped in red, admission only to those wearing an LFC red top (as we're playing in red in the final)
[21 May 2007]: It is a good venue this place: big, loads of bar staff, good views of big screens all round (at least in the big room when i was there) and if we fill it the atmosphere there will be as good as you'll find in central London.
[21 May 2007]: Just phoned the Walkabout and spoke to a bloke there called Simon who says yes, they are showing the game, and no, the door policy isn't red shirts only: 'Don't know where you got that from mate.'
[23 May 2007]: A NZ pal of mine has told me that it has been quality in there when they have shown NZ rugby - used the phrase mosh pit ...
[23 May 2007]: Fucking shite expensive pub, full of glory hunting Cockneys with their 'Liverpole, Liverpole, Liverpole' chants. I'd have been better off at home.
[24 May 2007]: Kind of agree with you, even if I'm a London red. Thought the place could and should've been a lot livelier - too many tourists, and probably half the crowd there, out of about 600 people, didn't seem to know the words to anything apart from YNWA. Like trying to get a song going at a wake half the time. Still, I don't wanna reopen the OOT debate, but we win together and lose together mate. And if you can't take that in London then you're best off heading back home for the match.
[24 May 2007]: I'm sure among those 'glory hunting reds' there were a lot of genuine London Reds that you have tarred with the 'glory hunting' brush. Did you expect a Scouse pub in the middle of London?
[24 May 2007]: You mean there were actually Londoners chanting in London accents paying London prices in a pub in the middle of London??
[24 May 2007]: Good point, but it was pretty poor in there. Think for next season it'd be good to nail a decent, mid-sized pub where it's just a hardcore of fans and make it a regular fixture. I'd still say 60-70 per cent of the crowd in the Walkabout last night have never been to Anfield and never will.
[24 May 2007]: Walkabout served its purpose last night, lots of big screens, lots of beer, and we had a decent singsong, even if only about a third joined in (we even got one airing of PST ffs so couldnt have been that bad...even if only about 5 people sang it all the way through!).
[24 May 2007]: ... seemed to be us lot near the bar and entrance that tried to start the singing, i know i never stopped
[24 May 2007]: Yea, we were down by the entrance too ... Was a good group down that end, i enjoyed the night (bar the result of course). The lads complaining were obviously at the wrong end of the place! Can you hear the far end sing, noooo, noooo!
[23 May 2007]: couldnt hear many singing to be honest, i tried on many an occasion to get a song goin, only me mates and a few other joined in, only one or two really took off
[21 Apr 2008]: It's great for these nights, huge pub full of reds cracking if we win, pub is rancid normally but great for watching sport.
[28 Apr 2008]: Cant touch the Walkabout - massive screen - 20+ all round the sides - even screens over the urinals - there'll be plenty of singing if me Andy, Dee and Mon are about - every fucking syllable loud and proud - plenty of Scouser Tommy and Liverbird renditions - well at least up to verse 8 ;-)! It gets busy mind - better be in by 6pm.
[28 Apr 2008]: Was in there for the final last year and thought it was pretty lame to be honest. Too many tourists, and the singing was confined to a few pockets. Happy to be persuaded otherwise, cos if it was full of reds it would be ideal. Just seems to be full of part-timers…
[19 Nov 2009]: I watch most of our away Champions League games in the Walkabout and it is normally a good atmosphere, Always far more reds in there then Chelsea, Arsenal or Mancs, Although I haven't watched a league match in there before!
[19 Nov 2009]: Plus the first song the DJ plays straight after the game is YNWA. Walkabout is also cheap. Last time I was there some fit woman behind the bar game me a 25% of token I could use for the whole night. If we have any chance of qualification in the game against Fiorentina, then it will be a toss up between Walkabout and Ruse.
[14 Apr 2016]: I have a table booked at Nook Bar in Covent Garden for the match tonight. I can also recommend the Walkabout in Temple as it’s where I watched last week’s game, quite a few Reds and Germans in there so it was impossible to get a table beyond 7pm even with the large amount of seats and tables. [2 Apr 2008]: I plan on going to the Sports Cafe in Central for the Chelsea games and the Final! It's just off Leicester Square. Warning, there will be Yanks about. Not specifically a Liverpool pub, but its a decent venue to watch sports - clue's in the name.
[2 Apr 2008]: yeh, ive only been there once to watch an england game there ages ago, it was pretty good for that but i agree that it is a bit of a generic place
[2 Apr 2008]: there will be a load of us in the sports cafe too. loads of yanks agreed but loads of tvs too. unless i get a ticket before 5 ish.
[2 Apr 2008]: Never been to the Sports cafe since a Manc waitress (who was a munter by the way) made a nasty gesture to me and my friend when Everton scored against us in the Derby a couple of years back. I fear if I go back there I may throw a pint over her. Not normally one for being aggressive towards the ladies, but this really pissed me off. F3K all the way now.
[2 Apr 2008]: Just been traf square in sports cafe now its filling up fast few reds about. They've reserved most of the down stairs for food tables which is pretty stupid as it's rammed upstairs! Might make it a better atmos who knows.
[3 Apr 2008]: I was in Sports Cafe really good fun downstairs. Also got a 'scoop,' saw the landlord for the F3K in there asked him what he was doing there -he said he's left F3K and started at Sports Cafe on Monday. Said he's been given a blank canvas and it's defo gonna have a red's emphasis because he's a big Liverpool fan. Good chat.
[3 Apr 2008]: Hope he does a good job with the Sports cafe, really does stink in there at the minute. Shame though, hope the 3kings doesn't stop showing the naughty games.

[30 Mar 2014]: I am planning to go to the Sports Bar and Grill at Victoria Station for the Man City game. We are having a family trip to London that weekend. With two young kids (7&5), a regular crowded pub is not really an option - although I would love the kids (and the wife) to experience a good atmosphere. Sitting down and having a meal during the match seems like a civilsed idea (well they will be having a meal - I will be trying to drink the bar dry with a bit of salty food to strengthen the thirst). Can anyone who knows the area give me an idea of how it will be inthe Sports Bar & Grill - or suggest better places. I am working away so don't get to see the wife and kids every night, so they are a priority - as they always would be anyway, but suggestions would be welcome. Cheers. Andy
[30 Mar 2014]: It's a bit of an 'as you might expect' bar that, Andy. Pub grub, loads of screens and loads of tables. It's never been busy in there, but I've never been on a match day. Certainly nice enough for a bit of lunch and the match, I would reckon.

[24 Apr 2014]: I'm going to the Rocket which is near Euston station but, as others have mentioned, the Euston Flyer is meant to be good as well. Other side of the road but not far.
[5 May 2014]: The Rocket was crap btw, dodgy sound system and badly connected TV's, losing to Chelsea didn't fucking help neither.

[28 Oct 2012]: Not aware of any Liverpool specific pubs in Camden but always used to watch the match in quins, just up the road from the station. Good pub slightly out the way of the main drag so not full of tourists. There's a dead old funny couple behind the bar who are slightly nuts so it's worth going just for that.
[20 Sept 2015]: Quinns on Hawley road is good for football and used to show hooky games, last time I was there was a couple of years ago though so you might want to ring them.

[2 Jan 2007]: I live in Camden Town (about 10 minutes south of Finsbury Park on the 29 or 253) and if I need to see the match I'll go to the Constitution which is beside the canal in St Pancras Way NW1. I don't think it's exclusively a "Liverpool" pub as such (I go because it's my local) but the landlady's a Red and there's a 2001 treble flag above the bar.
Chalk Farm
Bar 88 [Nov 2015: closed, I think]
Chalkfarm Road
www.marathonkebabhouse.co.uk
[2 Jan 2007]: next to Marathon kebab shop, opposite the Roundhouse and 1 min walk from Chalk Farm station. They show every LFC game that's on tv and they are very very much only interested with LFC. Sometimes they close the bar and only let in the people that say they support lfc
W2
Paddington
[14 Nov 2008]: If you don't mind a short tube journey (15-20min). Head to the Famous 3 Kings. It is literally next door to West Kensington tube station and will be full of reds. I will be heading down there You can get details of the tube here: www.tfl.gov.uk
[14 Nov 2008]: I know there's an offcial Aberdeen supporters pub near Paddington - probably not a great help to you though! I used to work near Paddington and there's plenty of boozers around but none that were particularly Liverpool friendly.
[14 Nov 2008]: Marylebone Tup on Marylebone High Street or the Allsop Arms on Gloucester Place are both about 15minutes walk from Paddington, and are both alright for Liverpool games (alright though rather than amazing). The area around Paddington itself is pretty crap really for pubs to be honest. F3K could well be your best bet as said above.
[14 Nov 2008]: 15 minutes from paddington? you must be a fast walker
[14 Nov 2008]: Atmosphere is usually pretty good [at F3K], the manager is a red. Plays YNWA before the game. If you are planning on going out then just jump on tube after game and head into central london, covent garden, leicester square etc. Remember that the last tubes are at around 1230ish. However, the night bus network is amazing and there will be a bus (probably 2 or 3) back to paddington from central london if you stay out late. Try and have a rough idea about where u are going tho so that u can see what buses go from there, tfl.gov.uk !
