My brain is tinier than yours mate but it's telling me it's the only game in town without causing a catastrophic split in this country. I relish the challenge it will bring with tighter control on the debate as opposed to the debacle last time.
This is what I don't understand though mate. The idea that this won't split the country more. For instance, I can see the following occurring
1. People wanting Remain only
2. People wanting a second referendum
3. People wanting a Soft Brexit
4. People wanting a Hard Brexit
5. People wanting a No-Deal Brexit
1. Remain MPs wanting Remain/Second Referendum
2. UKIP/Brexit MPs wanting No-Deal Brexit
3. Eurosceptic Tory, Labour and ERG MPs wanting No-Deal Brexit
4. Tory and Labour MPs wanting a Hard Brexit
1. Labour being split between Soft Brexit and Remain
2. Tories being split between Soft Brexit, Remain and Hard Brexit
3. Brexit Party wanting just Hard Brexit
4. SNP Party wanting just Remain
5. Green Party wanting just Remain
6. Lib Dems Party wanting just Remain
1. Leave areas just wanting Leave (Usually split with Remain)
2. Remain areas just wanting Remain (Usually split with Leave)
When you mix that lot up, it doesn't sound very harmonious to me.
