Tried to buy a ticket today in the resale, but it would only let me put an additional 1 person on my ticket (3 of us want to go). Anyone else know if the resale have a reduced allocation of the number of tickets you can buy in one go?

Today's resale was for coach bookings only and was limited to two tickets I think. There's another general ticket resale on Sunday as far as I know for up to four tickets. Look on Efest forums for up to date info.

Just a reminder that anyone who bought a ticket in October has until midnight on Friday to pay off the balance.

A mate of mine forgot to pay to balance. And he's the one who organised a massive group of us to go. Sunday is going to be a sweat now!

Good luck!

Might be worth entering any and all competitions as well, national express are currently running one.

Hopefully if everyone tries for him on Sunday someone will get through and box one.

Thanks for the heads up, entered the comp. I'm hoping he gets one if only because I want to roast him for making such a school boy error!

I think it's a daft system. A better system would be to automatically charge your card unless you opt out at the first payment.

Issue with that is people will forget the other way and start complaining that Glastonbury stole £200 off then. Plus if you've paid a deposit for 6 people that's like £1100 disappearing randomly from your account.

The email paying your deposit says when the balance is due, they then email a week before as well.

Glastonbury do remind people on social media as well, suppose they could send a few extra reminders out but people will still forget which unfortunately they can't do much about.

To be honest I had forgotten someone had to group buy in the first instance!

No joy for my mate this morning. I've a feeling that IP addresses closer to the mainland have a better chance but maybe that's me being paranoid.

I did score a worthy farm camping ticket though. Anyone ever camped there? It might be sacrilege but we're coming from Ireland and didn't fancy lugging a load of camping equip across. Also the appeal of no queue for a hot shower every morning and a clean toilet is too great to turn down. Rock n roll!

If it's in the same location as 14/15 then it's bloody perfect. Bit of a hike back up the hill at the end of the day, especially in the mud. Hot shower, clean shitter follwed by B&E roll and cup of tea looking down over the whole festival is an amazing way to start any day.
And all the world is football shaped, It's just for me to kick in space. And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste.

Yet again Field of Avalon produce a truly dreadful line up. It has to be at least 10 years since they've managed to have even one good band in their line up.

Edit, just noticed they have managed 1 this year, Dhol Foundation are decent.

For those who failed to get a ticket

Glastonbury 2017 volunteer positions at Oxfam festival shop still available

Of course some work is involved, however you will have a more comfortable and less crowed campsite, food and whatever other perks Oxfam staff get.

Well the full line up came out last week

http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2017/?stage

And they made the following announcement yesterday, not planning on arriving until Wednesday afternoon so hopefully the queues have gone by then

Ducking Gell, that's quite a list !
Not many names that I know, though, but that must be me...
But it seems there are not a lot of really heavy, aggressive sort of bands, again, as far as I know.
Oh Well, we had our day, I guess.

Really weird placement: why are the Pretenders opening the other stage when Kris Kristofferson is fourth(!) from the top on the main stage? Bizarre. Strange to see The National so high too, it's not as if they are mainstream famous or have a selection of anthems in their repertoire.

The other thing is that it's got far too big. More and more when I see the lineup each year, I think they should cut the number of stages and consolidate the best acts on the main four or five. It's so weird there's no reggae or 'dance' dance music on the main two stages because they've been packed on to specialist stages or arenas elsewhere, and that's before you get on to the fact that, for instance, there's three or four circus stages all going on at the same time.

Infuriating timetable. Sleaford Mods and Radiohead is a pig of clash.

Still, should be a good weekend.

If the bus takes 5-6 hours from Liverpool to Glastonbury you will arrive mid afternoon which is probably not a bad option, the biggest queues are often first thing in the morning and after people have finished work in the evening.  Having said that we are not really sure what the impact of the additional security checks will be - getting from Glastonbury to Pilton can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours when the festival opens!

For Weds/Thurs there is quite a lot on these days, most people head to the South East Quarter (lots of bars and smaller stages) or Silver Hayes (Wow, Blues, Pussy Parlure).  There are lots of other venues though like the Stonebridge Bar in the Park or the Bread and Roses pub.  For the Pyramid crowd the Beat Hotel is nearby.  Stalls like the Brothers Cider Bar in West Holts also attract a decent crowd because they have a loud sound system.

It all depends what you fancy really, personally I think Weds/Thurs are perfect for exploring the site as a whole because you will always find something cool and the extra familiarity will stand you in good stead when you are desparately trying to get across the site in time for Kris Kristofferson, or just trying to find yer tent when you've spent the last 16 hours on the ale.   ;)

Weather still looking decent for the week ahead!

Didn't go last year so I'm very much looking forward to this year.

Wednesday and Thursday are great for exploring the site, nothing on the main stages those days but the smaller ones will have things on (and some 'secret' sets).

The south east corner is great I'd highly recccomend getting down there during the day to have a proper look around and then going back at night. They've added loads of other bits in other areas round the site to try and take some of the crowds away but it can still get very busy.
