Red Light area is safe and worthy of a sightseeing escapade at 2 am but I personally wouldn't indulge..

As mentioned above white widow will fuck you up, ask the coffee shop people what they recommend for casual smokers.

Also, the space cake is delicious.. But do not eat more than 3 like 'my friend' did. 'He' got so fucked up he was walking around the Central Station in circles for a good 2 hours..

If you want a laugh, go in the peep show, can watch a woman getting bummed for 2 euro! I had to walk out of the place from laughing too much, maybe had too much to drink but couldn't believe what was going on!.

It has an illuminated sign outside saying "Peep show", then theres about 10 cubicles in there that you can go into, you put a coin in a slot and this window slides open, and theres a bed rotating round in the middle, with a different show on at different times of the day.

When we went in htere was some bird getting smashed by her fella in the cubicle opposite us (you can see the other people watching, only from shoulders upwards).

You go in , on the right there's all "private booths " to watch films in, (complete with a chair and tissue if you are that way inclined), on the left are the cubicles.

yeah compleatly ignore the street sellers, all crackheads!
the white widow is potent as me and my mate found out, compleatly knocked us for six
my mate did exactly the same but he ended up in bed for 18 hours compleatly KOd and we were only there for about 30
hours cos we wenr on the boat from hull that time, was proper funny though! ha

i can verify this, me and my mate went for a walk we ended up in the residential area and somehow ended up going round in a huge circle, got a really bad case of deja-vu was horrible! the worst thing was that we wernt even smashed!!! took us a good two hours to get back intowards the red light district again

Red light district is good, think we enjoyed rembrant square more though, smoking in a place called 'smokey joes' then theres some irish pubs and  a few clubs open dead late there. I wouldnt bother with the space cake personaly, didnt do anything for me, but maybe i was just buying expensive cake haha.

Anyway never mind walking in circles,  you'll know youre properly off yer head when FEBO starts to look apetising!!

As for the sex shows, never bothered meself but if youre going to, then youve got to see the 'banana show' by all accounts you'll never see anything like it, how it was described to me.

FEBO is quality when pissed up/stoned, also love the manekin pis on damrak - they fuckin drown em in that shit!!

Couple of nice coffee shops on waromestraat (sp) near RLD - Baba and Hill Street Blues were good, plenty of good music in there

Been 5 times cant wait to go again, never tire of the place its simply awesome.  There is a nice Belgian bar which is always rammed in the evning called La Chouffe below dam square, plenty of great beers in there.

Agree with Hill Street Blues, especially if you can get a spec at the very back downstairs. The doors open out and they are level with the canal, it's a great place to just go and chill out. Also love all the graffiti on the walls, chairs, tables etc.

Yeah.. there's a few hostels near the center at 30 Euro's per person but I have no idea about the hotels.

I stay at the Etap, which is near the airport and you can catch a train to Central from there really easily.

Leidseplein is where we stayed great clubs, we did pub crawls that they organised and we loved it. Also if u want to chill out and smoke week go to Vondelpark, a beautiful park where we chilled out for a lot of time.
