A classic leak to the press to put the blame on the manager before sacking him. Should have sacked him when they were blaming him for not getting certain players.

Their next four games are against Swansea, Burnley, Brighton and Palace. If he's still manager at the start of those games, then those four will make or break his time at West Ham. It's definitely a favourable schedule on paper with Burnley (A) being the trickiest.

It's all so very cosy isn't it? Do one semi decent job somewhere and you'll be set up for life. Your recent failings will be airbrushed out and only your mild successes will be used to judge you.

How many tv/radio/newspaper pundits or journos will oppose Moyes potential appointment? My guess will be somewhere in the region of 0. To a man they'll give a version of what Danny Murhpy just said "he'll make them hard to beat" or "he'll get them organised".  Tell that to Sociedad and Sunderland fans. Now remember what the reaction, by some, to Claude Puel's recent appointment was. He finished 8th and got to a domestic final, and people thought it was ridiculous that he should get another job so easily. Now imagine if he'd got relegated, badly, last year and been given another chance. Some pundits would be reacting like it was the end of the world.

I'm just glad we aren't part of that managerial merry go round involving the Moyes, Allardyces, Pulises etc of the footballing world. We've had quite a few managers in recent years but we've at least mostly had good ones like Rafa and Klopp.

Fortunately Hodgson's appointment acted as a form of vaccine.

What do you guys know. Poch was trained by the great man.

"“(Me and Pochettino) are footballing souls and have a similar philosophy on how we think it should all be done,” he said.

“We talked at length about what we were trying to do and how we wanted to play. We both thought we were doing the job properly."

That's a sadder sentence than Hemingway's 'For Sale: baby shoes, never worn'.
"For sale: baby shoes, never worn." is the entirety of what has been described as a six-word novel, making it an extreme example of what is called flash fiction or sudden fiction. Although it is often attributed to Ernest Hemingway, the link to him is unsubstantiated and similar stories predate him. ;)
But as for Moyes story, yes it’s quite sad  ;D

Moyes? :lmao

I could never hate West Ham. Upton Park was always a tough place to go, you knew that you had to perform well to get something and even if you did perform well West Ham would always put up a decent fight and make it tough. It is sad to see what has happened to them. The stadium move has ruined them and drained the life from the club. Moyes will take them down.

All over the place yesterday. Bilic probably thought a back five would make nullify our front four. Only Klopp was one step ahead and overloaded the center. Pretty much left their wingbacks marking nobody and their center backs unsure of whether to drop deep or go towards our attackers.

And glad to see that twat Noble get booked for that appalling dive  ;D.

Does anyone else notice that it's always the same mediocre and aged British managers that get tipped for every Premier League job rather than someone younger who is making a name for themselves in the lower leagues?

Definitely some truth in Bilic being poor tactically. I think it was Snodgrass who said that he asked him “so where do you want to play” or “so what’s your best position” just before he came on for his debut.

Obviously doesn’t help that he has no say in player recruitment.

Laurent Blanc is unemployed. His CV is alright but it's nothing compared to Moyes' though I guess.

7 of last 13 PL managerial appointments have been Brits aged 50-70. Moyes and Allardyce next. There's your barrier to young British coaches.

The sort of thing Phil Neville isn't going to mention as he gets a decent paying job with moyes

Bilic's post-match interview yesterday was hilarious.

He was literally begging the board to sack him and put him out of his misery so he could get paid. I can't really blame him because all of us would do the same, nobody would be crazy to pass up on that much money, it's clear he knows his team doesn't respond to him right now and it's just about waiting for the board to finally relieve him of his duties.
