I’m not surprised by this (welshred might have a different opinion). There are always seemingly some little injuries here and there after big injury recoveries.

I'm no expert, but I mentioned a few times before the end of last season that we'd be extremely lucky to get both VVD and Big Joe back to their previous best. Statistics say that only around 1/3 recover fully from such injuries. We'll probably know in half a year or so.

anyone knows where he is regarding CB pecking order

Nat is obviously no 1 considering the performances last season.

who will partner vvd next season? Matip regarding reports seems to be the fittest of the bunch so far.

Konate i feel should be given time like Fab and Robbo to familiarize with our system before being given starts...

Matip and Van Dijk imo are the best pair, Gomez isn't far off in that regard.

Give the fastest forward in the world a two yard start on the half way line and Gomez will catch him. I know there's more to defending than that (and Gomez ticks almost all the other boxes too), but for the unusual (unique?) way that Klopp's Liverpool prefer to attack Joe Gomez is the perfect centre back.

Yup, his pace is just immense. There are few (any?) attackers who could actually get away from him is a straight foot race. Hopefully his injury hasn't impacted that too much.
