Starskysdad has produced a draft business card idea. He was having trouble uploading it.  I have now attached it to his post here:  http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=259408.msg7052790#msg7052790

Take a look.

Issue with that is obviously that shirt isn't an SOS one and wont be produced with SOS patches. The Business Cards idea has been something that has been brought up before and definitely needs pursuing more.

The switch to London has come after our exchanges.

I would really like to have some business cards, it makes life easier for me down here for just giving to people.  The shirt Idea on the back was just a trial to try and get some ideas from peeps, also I used the kitster shirt as it has such a massive impact and I thought that if we made any additional funds from it they were going to go to SOS and HJC.

I have forwarded the draft card outline to SOS Marketing Dept. to offer me some marketing guidelines and advice I will then update it and try and get it posted up.  Hopefully attract a few more comments!!

Cheers

I'll definately take part in a midlands branch, though rotating the meetings between east and west would be good as its a fair treck from nottingham on a regular basis, maybe Derby as an almost halfway house.

I like this idea alternate between Coventry and Derby maybe, easier parking in COV than Brum for example, count me in as a possible for sure give or take the odd school governor committments etc!

I also think we need to maybe PM the brum guy setting this up, with our emails, so we have a cyber database to share information away from here!

Having established that you think that you can read, are you just slow on the uptake ?

My post was dated 15 June and referred to e-mails with Chris on the 14th (are you privy to the e-mails ?), you then question me on the 19th, guess what Sherlock, things moved on in those 5 days.

If you've got nothing positive to add, just butt out, or, come and introduce yourself to me at the London mtg or the Supporters' club AGM, rather than exchange forum posts.

LONDON MEETING - Graham has suggested either 8th or 15th July.  As the latter is when the Supporters' Club AGM is, I'm guessing that it will be the 8th, BUT, this isn't confirmed with anyone else yet, so don't cancel any weddings, christenings or bar mitzvahs yet.

We'll try and confirm asap.  Thanks for your patience.

Definitely not the 15th, so as not to clash with the AGM.  22nd as back up, if we can't make the 8th work.

No, don't you start confusing everyone !  You're supposed to be the calm, quiet voice of authority.

I will check on the Liverpool St pub for the 8th, once Chris has confirmed if that works for him.

OK... just checked a Bulgarian Liverpool forum (never have done that before). Wanted to see if the people there knows about Spirit of Shankly and the anti Hicks and Gillet campain, and try to tell them to join! And what have I seen... a bunch of brainless twats! It was scaring! So I have a quastion... Do Spirit of Shankly has a branch in countries like Bulgaria? And another quastion, more global, is there any kind of strategy in place to educate people and save them the humiliation to be a poor David Maddock clons?

EDIT: RAWK is heaven...compared to where I just have been....  :wave

Very excited to finally be on the board!  LFC supporter for 15 years, lived in London for 7 years, now back in the States.  The membership wasn't open for awhile, so was just a passive onlooker, but hope I can make a valuable contribution.

Very interested in getting rid of the "enemy within" over here.  Have video and musical skills to contribute. I'd be well up for setting up a branch here in Denver, a Rocky Mountain branch etc.  Let me know if there are others in the area who would be up for joining!  Will email...

I would like to be part of a Mids branch. The idea of alternating between Cov/Derby is very appealing if that could be arranged!
If we need to PM, could someone send my username with theirs as I can't PM yet. Thanks  :)

Right, back on the case, day job been a bit mad. I think we should now settle on the following strategy for midlands SOS

1. Set up Midland wide branch to start with, please can all interested put their names to this post so I have an idea of numbers. This branch would alternate meetings between Derby and Coventry, if all are happy with this ?

2. When numbers become too large to continue with midlands group, we dissolve the midlands branch and set up 2 new branches, East Mids (to include Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire), and West Mids (to include West Midlands/Bir, Warwickshire, Leicestershire) based on the following map from Office of National Statistics

http://www.statistics.gov.uk/geography/downloads/uk_cty_ua.pdf (Birmingham is in the ONS West Mids Area)

3. If those branches become too big we go down to the next level, ie. County level (Warwickshire, Derbyshire etc), but lets walk before we run.

Look forward to hearing from you.
