What do you think about drafting 12 players (1 extra for the bench --- even though the benches are filled with SPL's finest?)

I am thinking there are a hand full of players who started their careers 2010/11 season and could begin their careers on the bench - but be very useful down the line?

Thoughts

I think 11 is about right since that creates a balance between the lower-end teams (better XI) and the top-end teams (better squad). Also in other drafts it's just the XI. If people choose wisely, they'll be successful no matter their overall squad. Of course there will be gulfs of quality during injuries or suspensions, but that's the whole point, to make it rather unpredictable.

Either way, since there will be just 11 x 12 = 132 players picked, each player should be rather good. Drafting non-ready youngsters outside of the XI would only stall their development as the world-class players would get all the gametime.

He'll probably use Ronaldo as a right midfielder  That being said he's still going to be dangerous going forward and a right handful to play against. There's a function called "winger" being used for flat midfielders and that way they end up very far forward. I reckon the manager MacPherson will use him like that.

Rangers have a manager, revenue and squad depth way superior to the bottom teams and have a free shot at winning the Champions League in the first season since you'll be the only draft team entering the group stages in the first round. If any player in those teams get hurt, they're fucked, whereas you'll have McGregor, Whittaker, Bougherra, Wilson, Papac, Davis, Thomson, Edu, Boyd and Miller on the bench.

If you choose wisely, you should be alright, especially when the fixtures pile up and the top teams suffer injuries and are stuck with 1/5 players whereas you have 2/5 players to throw on
