T20 cricket would be hard Sarge. I watch a fair bit of cricket but wouldn’t really know where to start with that one. I would imagine there’s less stats to go off than if you were picking something for Test cricket.

PM Anywhichwayucan if you need some help though!

Think T20 is easy enough because we’ve seen them all play. Shouldn’t be a WG Grace lurking to mess with Prof’s ‘simulation’.

Now we just need to convince Prof to spend his next 2 months building a T20 simulator. We could even run the draft in the World cup format in the simulator.

I was thinking we might do another Anonymous Draft this Summer (but much less complicated) -- more like the first one.

Instead of doing a World Cup draft again --- how we replicate the Euro 2021 (same teams but with 1 wildcard and 1 round of steals)?

Tell me to piss off if this does not sit well --- as the last anonymous draft was too long and complicated.

Yeah good shout mate, if you've got the inclination to run it again!

How about an Olympics draft? We've never done that.

Could work this..

If people were into enough things, you could draft:

100m
200m
400m
1500m
Marathon
Rowing 4 (but just go off their olympic form in any rowing events)
Swimmers
Long jumpers

etc etc for how ever many events you wanted

Then rather than drafting teams against each other you run the events and everyone drafts their winner of the event (fastest PB isn't always an indicator of who would win for the races)
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

Probably a boring one but have we done just a UK based football draft. Was thinking maybe you have to select one player who’s played the standard number of games we go off for a club in each of the following cities:

Liverpool
Manchester
Glasgow
London
Birmingham
Sheffield
Leeds
Newcastle
South Coast (Brighton/Bournemouth/Southampton/Portsmouth)
Norwich/Ipswich
East Midlands (Forest/Derby/Leicester

Can easily swap out Glasgow for somewhere else if we just do English clubs. Would need a bit of strategy for when you pick your star names and do you get them from the smaller clubs first.

Might be a shit idea. :D

I said this a while back but wouldn't mind an all-time band draft. Six members, any combination of voice/instruments but no outside writers or external musicians, and no two members who've been in the same group with each other.

I was considering these kind of rounds for an English football Sheep Draft! Would be really fun trying to plot and research each area.

How about a draft we're each of us get's a randomly selected World Cup or European Championships (all tournament's post 1970) and we pick a team of players who played in that tournament?

"COVID19 No travelling abroad Holiday Draft"

This gave me a non-football draft idea.

A travel draft. Each drafter picks 5 cities to visit as part of a holiday tour. They have to sell the voters on why their tour is the best.

We have big squad and we rotate our players to keep them from burning out. I stepped away for a few months to get some rest and my drafting appetite is back. The rest do the same.

Trend is like Mbappe of the drafting world. He wants to play every draft. That's one reason why we have cricket drafts, so that he is forced to rest.

The best thing about that draft was people picking clubs just to pick one player and then getting screwed. That is a must, so whoever picks him first wins, no most appearances shit.

Not sure you're remembering it well.  All clubs had to be represented in the XI you picked.

So in the 4 of Clubs Draft all 4 of Barca,Liverpool,Ac Milan and Bayern players had to be repped. Same goes for 5 and 5 of Clubs drafts.

I'm talking about the one that Max run, where people picked the likes of New York Cosmos and LA Aztecs and shit for a couple of players, and some got screwed and had to pick some yank clogger.

Reboot of the 4 of Clubs draft? With 4 diffrent teams. Version 1.0 was done in 2014, so we're all picking same players then?  :D

Different teams then surely to mix it up a bit?

How about Real Madrid, Juventus, Dortmund and United?

Yeah was going for the four 'rivals' to the original ones we used :D

Real and Juve are easy ones. Then it starts getting a little thin on the ground, Dortmund would be tough I think. Was thinking Arsenal or Chelsea but again once you're past maybe 9/10 obvious players it starts getting a bit grim.

Ajax is a shout though.

Real, Juve, Ajax and Dortmund has a nice '90s CL' ring to it.

My only concern is that I continue with my personal streak of 0 for 15 drafts (not counting non-footy ones).

My goal is to be first and only drafter to do 50 drafts without a fucking win --- that has never been done ***

The top 5 as of Feb. 2015. I stopped counting after that. So probably SPS hit 30+ and Lobo is on 200 (didn't he win one recently though?).

Sir Psycho - 23 drafts - 0 wins
AWWUC/Katie - 22 drafts - 0 wins
Aldo/Whispering Death - 18 drafts - 0 wins
El Lobo - 20 drafts - 0 wins
HoinkDoink - 15 drafts - 0 wins
