I could see him hitting 20 this season. Great to see him doing so well.

He's on course!

I hope he gets a great ovation in Anfield in 4 weeks time. Not during the match, but before and after  ;)

Ha, that was my prediction last season, so I was wrong. He is on course this year though. I really do like Danny Ings.

Really pleased for him. Love seeing him score every week. He would have had double that in our side in this form ... if he'd got games.

Superb player. Such a damn shame his time with us was ravaged by injuries. I suppose Southampton deserve a good player back their way after the number of top players we've bought from them. This great run of form couldn't happen to a more deserving fella. Hope he keeps it up and gets a deserved place in the England squad.

Love that he's having a good run as always seemed a decent player. His goals have effectively kept Southampton up. This, along with Villa's woes remind you of how importnat it is to have someone who can simply put the ball in the net.

Love even more that we apparently have a 20% sell on fee for him. Could well see him going for 30-40m which would be great for us! (pay for Minamino)

Very very happy for him personally. One of the unluckiest lads in football to do his ACL in Klopp's first training session at the club.
He's also now a great fantasy league footy asset, so thank you Danny!

Me too.

He reminds me of Robbie Keane in that, because he's technically good but not the quickest, managers have tried to play him as a support striker when actually he's far more effective running off the shoulder of defenders.

That was really nice to see. Ingsy deserves it.  Highest compliment you can pay him is that I bet we were all collectively relieved when he was subbed.

He has that Suarez style of dribbling - where it will hit his shins and somehow he will still end up with the ball in a maze of people.

Yeah, that goal deserved to win a match but they just let Spurs back in it.

What this does confirm that Ings was indeed a quality player and we were right to get him. Just a shame he got those injuries and was too far back in the pecking order when he got fit.

It's kinda ironic, had he stayed last season, there is every chance he would've got a lot more minutes - minutes that went to Origi, who didn't do too badly did he?

Was he sold because we could get more for him than Origi who was going out of contract and not playing much?   Felt he would have been ideal as an understudy but we couldn't have both.   And we can't argue with that Divock has done since.

It was funny reading the Saints forums when they signed him on a permanent deal from us, all calling him a crock and saying they were crazy for paying the £20m or whatever it was.

I think it's understandable they had concerns in regards to his fitness

However I thought he was always a good player and the thing that stood out for me most was his hard-work and conditioning. Could run all day.. So it's no surprise he's been able to bounce back.

One of those where if he'd have stayed he'd probably never have got the game time to be a 20 goal a season forward, so the move was the right thing even though he'd have a perfectly good backup for us.

Delighted for him.

Had it not been for the injuries, I think he would become a valuable squad player for us. But he's a great fit for Southampton, he deserves to be playing regularly at this level and he's proven his quality.
