Spoke too soon. Smith didn't win a leg after I said that. Fair play to him for making a match of it though .

Smith just screams Anderson circa 2010 to me. He’s got the game, can score with the best but his checkouts go to shit when he’s under the pump. If he ever sorts it he can win every tournament going.

I don't like this format myself.
Weirdly enough - the winter league in our city (which is the main one, runs only a couple months shorter than the football season) is always double in, double out so I find watching this one interesting.

The Thursday night winter league i played in has the same format, the league is still running, they play October to May-June. It's great when you see even the pros struggling to his the double at the start of the legs, as we're there regully with the format. ;D

Hahaha yes. It's great to have a Thursday where you got in with your first three darts in both legs then see a pro miss 9 to get in.

Yep, also can be frustrating when you can't get off, & your hitting the wire wrong side of the double bed, & your opponent is off the first 3 darts.   :butt

Lots of live darts coming up on terrestrial tv over the next few weekends

19/20 October - Champions League of Darts on the BBC
25-27 October - European Championship on ITV4
1-3 November -  World Series Finals on ITV4

We then have the Grand Slam on Sky starting the following weekend.

Cheers for the heads up. Presume you meant November for the World Series Finals.

I often work on Sunday evenings in bars - which is annoying because loads of our games are on 4:30pm on Sunday over the next month - and quite often the final of darts tournaments is on a Sunday and without Sky Sports I can't record the final to watch back when I get home- which often means I watch most of the tournaments then miss who actually wins it. At least I'll be able to record the BBC and ITV offerings.

Maybe just poor run of form? With so many young dangerous players emerging lately its not easy I imagine. And Garry is geting on a bit. I see Klaasen droping from number 8 to 40 in space of couple years. Anderson has made his bed with the S** advert anyway, dont like like him anymore.

Van Gerwen said so there, he said Wright looked nervous after the first couple didn't land.
