Is it true that some Leicester players have been dropped for breaching COVID rules and having a house party?

Nice bit of instability ahead of the defining part of the season. If Rodgers drops out of the top four at the very end once again, he will get some stick.

That would be really damaging for him, personally I think. In terms of wanting a bigger Club job.

Think any result in this game is a win win for us. Leicester losing opens up the race for third place as well.

Well in JLingz.

If it stays like this it's a race for third; two out of us, Chelsea, Leicester, Spurs and West Ham (and maybe Everton).  Not looking bad from where we were after the Fulham game!

Spurs losing tonight will shut the Top 4 door for them imo.

This game has been dreadful so far.

Blow up ref and call it a draw.

Woeful game.

Yeah, supposedly Perez, Choudhury and Maddison all dropped because of it.

Not in the least surprised by Maddison, big mates with fellow dickhead chav and regular lockdown breaker Grealish isn't he?

He hit it off his plant foot and kicked it again into the goal.  Hilariously lucky.  Biggest purple patch I’ve ever seen.

I think you'll find you're wrong - the Oracle that is Matty Upson has spoken: "What a strike from Jesse Lingard. Absolutely brilliant finish.".

I sometimes wonder whether these pundits are watching the games on dodgy feeds on their mobile phones...

And why isn't it ruthlessly gone over for 2 to 3 mins?

They've been lucky it's coincided with Iheanacho hitting a purple patch.  I don't think Iheanacho's form is sustainable so they need Vardy back amongst the goals!

2-0 Lingard again, looked offside?

The eventual goalscorer, Lingard, was offside when the ball was played to Bowen.

How come Lingard wasn't deemed offside once he becomes active in the move?  2nd phase rule?

If so, then that's bullshit as he obviously gained an advantage by being further up the pitch (in an illegal offside position) which enabled him to slot home the square pass unopposed.

Rule needs changing.

It's been like that for a long time though.

As I understand it from watching VAR yesterday Jota would have been technically onside had the ball skimmed the Villa defender's foot even though he was offside (well, he wasn't but the lines say he was) when the ball was played.  The offside laws are just a mess that are compounded by VAR pretending it's millimetre accurate.

It would've pissed me off if Jota was a yard off and we got awarded the goal because the defender tried to cut it out. They are totally misinterpreting the rules. Absolute charlatans.

BTW  which part of 4th being a straight shootout between us and Chelsea don't people understand?!   Being happy with a West Ham win isn't an option!  I suppose the same people want a Spurs win as well do they so we end up back in 7th?!!  I don't get it.  There's six games left!  We ain't catching Leicester and United in that time.  Hoping for Chelsea, W Ham and Spurs defeats is the only way.  Get it?

Let’s just say Jota was offside here is where the rules are bullshit if a ball is played over the top of a defender and the attacker is 2 yards offside and he runs towards the ball but doesn’t touch it the linesman puts the flag up straight away.

Ok fair enough......now the Villa defender tried to play the ball yesterday so why does the rule only apply to attackers and not defenders ?

Cash may have touched the ball but we won’t know for sure as they didn’t look at that like Morse it seemed they were checking several views to pin Jota.

Another issue I have is why are so many refs from the Manchester area allowed to ref us ? I mean they even get the gig against the Manchester teams at times.

Now Mike Dean doesn’t seem to like us and he is a Tranmere fan but he would NEVER be given Liverpool v Man Utd/City why ?
