If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Is that his normal level??!
If so how did Adrain ever get picked ahead of him?’

He was faultless and his distribution looks top class

Really impressed with his calmness and confidence on the ball, one important save and a couple of other decent ones  too

He was shockingly assured with the ball at his feet, how on earth has Adrian started over this bloke if this is his level?

They have to give the chance at the right time though, I think he's ready now with young players its about timing. Also, people realising that they will make the odd mistake every now and then.

Calm, great shot stopper, no fucking about, boots it when needed, pretty much all you can ask for in a back up keeper. Brilliant to see and think he’s nailed on second spot with that performance.

Was so good. Don't need an Alisson clone as a back up keeper, just someone decent at most things who doesn't shit themselves with the ball, he looked much more than that tonight so very good signs. Brilliant for him to have a moment like that near the end. Simply has to play every game while Alisson can't.

So much better than Adrian. Commanded his box like someone making his 100th CL performance rather than this first.

Which is his strongest foot? Can't remember seeing a more two footed keeper than him.

He conceded 7 for the U23s at the weekend, it's possible that his performances will vary, but good to know he's capable of playing at a high level if called upon.

Fantastic! I was really hoping Caoimhín would finally get a place in the starting lineup during Alison's last injury. Really pleased to see him starting now, keeping a clean sheet and making one or two brilliant saves.

Brilliant. His distribution was great and made the saves he needed to. Feels so assuring to have a competent back up goalie. I was most impressed by how calm he is on the ball (without the needless cockiness of the other backup option)

Is he ahead of Adrian now?

Has to be, no doubt. Yes, he will make mistakes but I would rather it was a young goalkeeper learning his trade rather than a 34 year old with no self awareness of his ability.

Very impressed by how calm he was. There’s the obvious couple of good saves but he also did well with the ball at his feet. Adrian resorts to kicking it out for a throw every so often but I thought Kelleher looked really composed tonight.
