They should just lock up whatever Australian based senior management they can. Fines mean nothing to these clowns.

Elon Musk and his social media company X have vowed to fight orders by Australia’s online watchdog to remove content related to alleged Sydney church stabbing attack.

On Tuesday, eSafety commissioner Julie Inman Grant said social media giants X, formerly Twitter, and Facebook parent company Meta would be issued a notice of removal.

The notice relates to content depicting “gratuitous or offensive violence with a high degree of impact or detail” following the alleged stabbing of Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel.

In a tweet early Saturday local time, Elon Musk, who purchased Twitter in April 2022, claimed “The Australian censorship commissar is demanding *global* content bans”.

Faced with fines it failed to comply with the order, X’s global government affair’s team claimed posts it had been ordered to remove did not violate its rules on violent speech.

In a statement, which was shared by Musk, the social media giant said “recent attacks in Australia are a horrific assault on free society” but vowed to fight the removal notice.

“The Australian eSafety Commissioner ordered X to remove certain posts in Australia that publicly commented on the recent attack against a Christian Bishop,” X said.

“X believes that eSafety’s order was not within the scope of Australian law and we complied with the directive pending a legal challenge.

“X has now received a demand from the eSafety Commissioner that X globally withhold these posts or face a daily fine of $785,000.”

The company described the alleged stabbing of the Assyrian church leader as “a tragic event” and said it did “not allow people to praise it or call for further violence”.

“There is a public conversation happening about the event, on X and across Australia, as is often the case when events of major public concern occur,” X said.

“While X respects the right of a country to enforce its laws within its jurisdiction, the Commissioner does not have the authority to dictate what content users can see globally. “We will robustly challenge this unlawful and dangerous approach in court.

“Global take-down orders go against the very principles of a free and open internet and threaten free speech everywhere.”

After the intense disturbance caused by the news that a Greek international player tested positive for doping, UEFA took a position, informing the EPO that there is no positive sample from any Greek footballer.

Greek football received a strong shock at noon on Wednesday (17/04) when it became known that a Greek player, who was on the national team's team in the game against Georgia, tested positive for doping .

For several hours there was intense disturbance and movement, with the EPO for its part positioning itself for the publications that spoke of a positive sample of a blue-and-white player, claiming that it has not been informed about it .

In the end, it turned out that the alarm raised in Greek football turned out to be invalid, with the European Football Federation informing the EPO that there was no positive sample of a Greek football player and essentially putting an end to the unrestrained scenario of the last few hours.

Good relegation battles on this weekend! The bottom 6 all play each other - Luton v Brentford, Sheff Utd v Burnley and the Ev v Forest.

At the important end, we've definitely got the weaker opponents on paper - Fulham and Everton, while Arsenal play Wolves and Chelsea, and City are away to Brighton. Be nice to move ahead of at least one of those teams over these games, because after that we only play top half teams: West Ham, Spurs, Villa and Wolves.

There is no precedent in Rodgers football teams being good out of possession and of the ball. In 13-14 Liverpool conceded 50 league goals. Its a ridiculous number that is reserved for teams that finish mid table. By contrast our defence this season has been by design. We dont have a keeper bailing us out with amazing saves week to week. We have conceded the less amount of goals simply through tactical training. There have been multiple games were we have conceded no more than 2-3 efforts on goal. We have conceded the least shots in the league. Which is by virtue of how we are set up - by design to limit the number of efforts on our goal. David Raya will win the golden glove, and it will be a very passive golden glove - he hasn't done much to earn it. But

If we swapped Arteta for Rodgers, I would fully expect the floodgates to open and we conceded around 30-40% more goals that we would under Arteta. The idea these two coaches/managers are comparable is comical. If you cant see Arteta is miles ahead, you cant see the wood from the trees.  Do people actually watch football or do they just source wikipedia for a cherry pick a stat.

This is why I dont rate Ten Hag or De Zerbi. I watch Man United and Brighton and off the ball they are rubbish. They get played through, passed though, spaces in midfield everywhere, you can say the same about Ange mate at Tottingham. By contrast, Arsenal are the hardest team to score against, the hardest team to get an effort on goal against. We never used to be this team, Arteta has made us this way.

This is why those who think Arsenal should sack Arteta = numpties. You dont sack a 42 year old manager who is showing this much promise. You back him. And im thankful KSG (our FSG) are not irrational and overly emotional, and regardless of what happens this season, Arteta will get a contract extension.

Of course there is precedent, which suits a manager whose entire footballing philosophy revolves around death by football, pressing, and fast transitions. You can’t cherry pick one season (especially one where both he annd the ownership were clearly finding their way in the league with a team that had heightened expectations) out of many in Swansea, Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester and say this will chart the course of every team he has ever managed. If given the space to implement his philosophy, his teams are built like you would want to build a team - brilliant, exciting, fresh, defend well, play good football and are especially threatening in counter attacks.

Just put the ball in the onion bag in open play and I will take that as a small victory.

This would be a great start, our attack has failed to fire at the worst possible time.

According to the exchanges then Liverpool have a 62.5% chance of winning the game, 20% chance of draw and a 17.5% chance of a Fulham win. A Liverpool win is overwhelmingly the most likely outcome of the possible outcomes.

Those are crazy odds, and if I was a gambler I'd be all over it.

Remember how well they'd played at Anfield, we had to blam in 4 thunderbastards to scrape out a narrow win. Now consider how much better they tend to play at home, our present form and that we played in Italy on Thursday while Fulham trained and planned for Sunday, and I think it's at best a 33% each way proposition. Someone on the last page rated our chances on this three game stretch as 60%, 60% and 50% respectively, but I would have Fulham as the hardest of the set, and that's taking into consideration our penchant for drawing at Woodison.
