If is isn't broken why try to fix it. Gerrard then Kuyt, if that starts failing then maybe Adam on reputation, but a long way to go before that is needed Gerrard nor Kuyt are liable to slef-implode and shy away from the responsibility even after the odd inevitable miss.

Adam - No, he puts a lot of pressure on himself, especially since joining us. The miracle balls,etc. I think penalties as well would be far too much.

Gerrard - Yes - Capt Fantastic wouldn't feel the pressure like most would.

It's about time somebody saved a Kuyt penalty. He always hits it to the same side, and he's not going to get it bang in the corner like he did against Arsenal.

Didn't Stevie help Kuyt master his penalties? I'm sure i remember reading something like that last season, sometime after Kuyt scored his pen and then pointed to Stevie in the stands? $:-\$

The thing I like about Gerrard's penalties is that he doesn't have a set spot. Most of Kuyt's seem to go bottom right (vs Everton when he scored the winner from Neville's handball, vs Arsenal last season and the one Howard saved) whereas Gerrard seems to be a bit more unpredictable.

Gerrard. Then Kuyt. Kuyt has been very reliable in the past. Same with Gerrard. There will be the occasional miss, but I think, ever since Murphy was our first pick, that we have improved a lot. There was a time when everyone missed.

id like to see kuyt as though he ~~never~~ rarely doesnt score - but what i'd like to see is, a taker just hit it straight down the middle, because goalies dive 90% of the time. and will not be saved. although it may be embarrassing if the goalie stays put, it really should be done more.
