Ramsey Street or not, what are your neighbours like?
« on: July 18, 2018, 09:29:42 pm »
Ours are a mixed bag, the couple next door are hard working Eastern Europeans who we see little of because the do shift work, but seem nice when they are around. Likewise the students in on the top floor are sweet. Two floors above is a right shifty one, always scampering about and looking furtive. Two weeks ago, there was a white Ford Transit in the car park, I thought it was our builders, but it was court bailiffs taking his car! Above us are the couple who manage the building (badly) they claim ignorance about things like responsibility for blocked drains, but he’s an academic and she’s a lawyer so it fools nobody.

Very small street. Only 9 houses of which 7 are occupied.

Number 9 has 2 (at least) South African nurses living in it.
Number 8 has a young couple and their daughter living in it.
Number 7 is the landlords sister. Sound as fuck, sings like fuck in the shower. Wouldn't shift her furniture though.
Number 6 is my house that I share with my sister.
Number 5 I don't even know if they are still there. I'll guess not as I haven't heard the baby cry in a while.
Number 4 is a couple I only ever see loading and unloading their car.
Number 3 is another young couple. Have only got glimpses of her and she's hot as fuck. Definitely would shift her furniture. Rarely see him.

All in all, the street is sound. The most annoying bastard in the street is my sister. I'll be debt free in a little over 2 years, and only then will I be able to afford to move out.

One side... a hoarder who is mentally ill, seldom leaves the house and bottles his piss and shit... (Not joking)

Other side.. a miserable middle aged spinster ... when my kids accidentally kick their football into his garden they politely go and ask for it back.  He tells them he can’t find it.  I can see them on his lawn form the bedroom window.  c*nt.

The neighbour to one side has social anxieties so never leaves the house except to do his shopping. He has never said hello in over four years but he’s quiet so happy days. Now on the opposite is a young couple with a whingeing three year old. He’s a bluenose so straight away we’re at loggerheads. They’re both shit scared to say hello anymore. The rest are a mixed bad. Some nosey arl fucker over the road who knows I’m onto her sneaky ways. They seem to be hesitant because we drive nice cars so they jump to the wrong conclusions about how the money is earnt.

The blonde next door is hot and the other guys I'm pretty sure is running an uber eats scam restaurant out of his apartment. Never spoken to them, the old couple across the hallway were lovely would always have a chat with them. I've known them for 3 years, slight issue though, because I forgot the guy's name and he remembered mine, I've spoken to him regularly for years, I know details about his kids and his life but I'll be fucked if I can guess his name. God bless the Aussies and the socially acceptable use of the word mate in any social setting.
I remember years ago doing the fart with your fingers pointed like a gun.

I did it to my brother, I had a dressing gown on.

Instead of farting I shat on the floor - my brother thought I was demented.

Most have lived here for years and are all pretty much the perfect neighbours. Get on really well with them.

A couple of years ago though this really nice old lady next door died. I won't go into detail on the people who replaced her, I'll just tell you two things.

1. One of the very first things they did upon moving was put up a flagpole with the Union Jack
2. They have numerous parties where Gangnam Style features on the playlist

We live in what I would call a nice cul-de-sac on a nice estate, neighbours to our right are fine, he is a decorator and does all our stuff for us when needed. We get on okay with them.
The scrotes on the other side I have rarely talked to, just lazy slobs, house is a mess, birds nesting in the wood fascia's, they have had bird shit on their conservatory doors for weeks now and it's still there.
Inside I believe it's a tip, front and back garden the same - they just don't give a shit.
They aren't noisy or a real nuisance as such, they just have no pride in their home at all, they just seem to play on their phones all the time.
They put some stones on their driveway to cover up all the shitty weeds, loads end up on the street but they never sweep them up. Any that come onto my side I just pinch!

They put some paving flags down in the back last year and the leftovcrs are still on their front driveway.

Guess it's none of my business really what they do, but I still can't fucking stand them.

One side is her brother and his wife, so we have no issues there. Other side they are OK, the bloke is sound, the wife talks shite and is usually pissed by 6:30 midweek. Never had any problems with them though and the kids all play together

Never had any problems with any neighbours here to be honest, a lot are quiet and keep to themselves, but always let on. Those I speak to are all sound, loads lived here for years, woman over the road is not far off 100 yrs old and still active.

One side is a Middle Eastern (think Qatari given his car reg) student. Constantly banging his doors and will occasionally have either incense burning or using a shisha as it stinks the communal corridor out. Other two on the floor I never hear a peep from.

Had trouble with one of the other apartments for the first 6 or 7 months after we moved in. Two lads in their late 20's/early 30's who would constantly smoke weed, which somehow used to find its way into our apartment. I wouldn't mind it occasionally, but it was literally about 20 hours of the day that the place stunk. Is a non-smoking building and they ended up getting the police involved (who were useless and couldn't do anything), but thankfully they moved out in March.

One side it is empty other side family of fucking pricks, three storey terraced houses.  so for example last saturday  drum and base blasting through our walls for hours and eventually i asked them to turn it down and got told by this thick old brain donor twat we are having a party so i might just turn it up, they also seem to own about 7-8 cars all parked outside our houses so i park mine about 6 houses back i did once park in front of my house and they blocked me in so i couldnt move it. They even blocked in a neighbour further down the road with a white van for his wife who is wheelchair bound he has a sign on the door asking people not to park in front of the house because he needs access for his wife and you guessed it they do it all the time.

Also they throw their rubbish sacks in the back garden never put any bins out and stupid staffie who rips them open.

There is also loads of them it seems bastards

When we moved to our street we were the youngest in the street by about 30 years. Neighbour 1 side is sound. He built the house we now live in and is a good source of home grown fruit through the summer! Really nice fella.

Other side is a miserable old hag who has not left the house in 5 years. Windows all closed 365 days a year no matter how hot. The day after we moved in we were summoned round there with a list of things she wanted us to do to the house and garden as the previous owners did fuck all. We told her we got the place for that reason and would be gradually doing it up while we lived there but work full time so not all at once. Now whenever we do anything no matter what time of day the old c*nt hammers on the wall and complains. The alarm went off in the middle of the day and I was literally at the top of a ladder disconnecting it when she began shouting out the window to turn it off. No idea what the fuck she thought I was trying to do! Her son and daughter visit each day and are just as miserable. Just hope neither of them move in when the old bat shuffles off.

Rest of the street are all good and take a real interest in our little boy and how he is doing as he has had some health issues. We help everyone out as much as we can in return with lifts/shopping etc other than the old c*nt next door!

One of our neighbours is an old fella that lives on his own. Never hear a peep out of him and always says hello if we see him out and about.

On the other side are a couple and their small boy called Harry. We only know his name cos all they ever do is shout at the poor kid 'no Harry' 'stop doing that Harry' from morning to night he gets told off, hes in bed every night by 7 and they black out his windows with this foil stuff. And they are ignorant c*nts aswell, say hello to either of them and they'll act like we're not there.

I know. Imagine Craig being the normal one.

Got a nice Iraqi bloke next to me on one side. Split up with his wife quite recently, he’s fairly quiet but always friendly. The other side has been empty since we moved in three years ago. An old couple bought it and have never moved in.Bit weird buts it’s one set less to worry about with all the noise we must make.

Literally like a Wizard's sleeve then?
[emoji23] Exactly like that.

Forgot to say she also thinks the couple the other side listens in to all our conversations using MI5 type bugs in the loft and shit 🤪

Older, eccentric couple lived next door - got along great at first but eventually our relationship soured - she kept feeding 'the robins' as she claimed, but basically turned the place into a vermin zoo, pigeons, rats and grey squirrels everywhere, it was disgusting. Got into it a few times with her and were eventually on total non-speaking terms. They moved out, house got knocked down, now a mansion is going up in its place, so we'll see what our new rich neighbours are like.

Other side, nice family, fella is a Chicago cop, woman's a teacher, get along well with them.

Good friends with the neighbours across the street, generally really like my neighbourhood and have made a lot of friends there.

There was this bungalow in Chester, years ago (may still be the same), that was so full of junk from hoarding that the owner had moved into a caravan on the drive. They had an extension lead from the house to the caravan for leccy.

They also had an old Austin in the drive though, which was cool.

The guy next to me bottles his faeces, and never puts any rubbish out.  He’s got a hole in his roof and no bathroom windows (you can see the hole quite clearly on google earth).

It’s very sad actaully.  Sometimes we phone social services because it’s very cold and there’s snow drifting into his house.  They just tell us they can’t do anything.

When we’re really worried we phone the police.  They are generally brilliant and can’t leave him without doing something. They end up bullying social services into acting.

Yeah, it’s sad. We’ve still got a long way to go with recognising and treating mental health / disorders.

He inherited the house off his parents when they died.  Apparently he had an interview to study at oxford, but something happened on the way there and he never made it...

Never really left the house since, went off the rails,  never worked...

The only people who really care are the police.. when they go round they are so shocked that they force something to happen.  The police get a bad press, but they been amazing with him.  They’re the only people who don’t just let it keep on happening.
