Using Chrome on Sony Xperia and been getting "The plugin is not supported" recently on Rawk for embedded YouTube clips.  Anybody know who I fix this?

I started a thread in the feedback forum and no one could give me a sensible answer. I believe it is a JavaScript issue within Chrome on Android though.

Thanks. I tried reinstalling chrome, then trying chrome beta which didn't work. I ended up doing away with chrome and now using CM Browser which works fine. Seems pretty good so far, fast, shows embedded YouTube. Think the issue was with chrome rather than rawk.

Looks like i'll have to do a factory reset ...  :no

Had this with a HTC phone yesterday, it was leggy as anything, kept randomly locking and was draining the battery like a tramp with a cheap bottle of vodka.

Factory reset seems to have sorted it, but much wasted time !

I am still running my Nexus 4 and hi am happy to keep it going for as long as possible. However, Google Chrome really annoys me as some time ago it lost the small box at the top to I dictate how many instances of chrome you had open and it allowed the user to toggle between the different open pages. Does anybody know if there is a way to get this back, or can recommend a different browser for me to use on my phone?

Thank you.

Hey guys, I have a HTC ONE M9. Whenever I'm on Facebook and click on a link say JOE.IE or 90mins.com my phone gets overtaken with pop-ups telling me I have a virus etc.
Is there any way to prevent this/get rid of it. Absolute nightmare

It gives root access to the phone so enabling you to do more with it. It may well void your warranty though and it could all go horribly wrong if you don't do it properly (unlikely but possible).

You could try some sort of Adblocker instead. Adblock Plus is a bit awkward to set up and they seem to be recommending their own browser now instead (Playstore link here)

Can anybody recommend an app which will allow me to play mp3 tracks from my NAS drive? The problem I currently have, is when playing from  either the Seagate or ES file Explorer app, it will only play one track at a  time instead of moving onto the next track, which is annoying when attempting to listen to a full album.
Thanks.

Has anyone got much use with Marshmallow yet?  Dying for some sort of upgrade to the OS, having Lollipop with the S5, it's just so laggy as hell, I'm forever clearing the cache (which sometimes builds up to over 2GB).

No. 1mb of data on 3g is the same as 1mb on 4g. But because 4g is so much faster you will find that you use much more of it

Marshmallow is wrecking my head.

Moved apps back to phone storage so now using app 2 SD to move them back onto my card (as there is no space on my phone) to be told there's no space on my card (there is, almost 16gb).

I don't understand how they can fuck things up so badly.

Basically I can't update any apps as there is no room.

My S6 keeps losing network connection. The reception bar is full, but keeps saying emergency calls only. Then after a while it will go down completely. If i restart the phone, I'll get signal for about 5 minutes. Any ideas?

So I've just done the huge update to the latest version of android and everything seemed ok.... but when I click on my task killer, it shows nothing running. Now before the update there's usually always something running so out of habit I "kill" stuff when I'm finished browsing or listening to music or whatever.
Now since this update, there are zero tasks running.... I even went in and opened/clicked on lots of apps and then checked task killer and STILL nothing running apparently. It finished updating just before football finished so haven't had much time to play around with it but I even downloaded another one, Zapper Task Killer made by Lookout and that shows that nothing is running either.

Does the new android have a built in task killer now?  or is something not quite right?

Cheers

Yeah that said it closed like 20+ processes so it worked.
Do you use it as you would a normal Task Killing App?

Cheers mate.

Yeah seems that way.... silent is now "do not disturb" mode and silences your alarms too unless you tick the little box.
Really not liking this new version at all.

Yes. If I notice my phone getting a little sluggish, I just run it to free up some memory. Might not do much in reality, but makes me feel better. :)

So does a normal task killer not work for you either? Is it specific to this update, a widespread issue? Not just me?

 ;D

That would make me feel a wee bit better.

Just installed Zapper and that showed no processes (apart from itself) running. Doesn't look like it is just you.

Also, if people want the silent/vibrate/normal toggle, try Power Toggles. It has a toggle for that setting, plus many more.

Maybe there'll be a patch or perhaps someone will figure it out.

You dont really need a "task killer" app mate, they do more harm than good. If you feel your phone getting bogged down, all you need to do is clear your memory using the standard multitasking button, that is it. And maybe clean the app cache to free up memory if needed.

Never felt the need for a Cleanmaster type app. If clearing your app list through the multitasking button does not work, a simple reboot will usually do the trick.

best one i've found is TypeApp, i have about 7 email accounts connected to it including a couple of outlook ones, never had an issue with notification unlinke Yahoo or Outlook clients, and TypeApp has some nice features around marking emails for reminders and tasks etc
