Doesn't have to be huge or beautiful - a couple of bedsheets and some spray paint would do; it's a one-off to get the message across.

I could even look into it myself...

We need to talk to the club about it and establish all the facts. When this friendship is supposed to be from the fans, we shouldn't have to be doing something hasty to explain what the friendship should be about.

I don't feel "twinned" with Fiorentina any more than I feel twinned with any other football team I feel nothing about other than wanting to beat.

If I was on the Kop tomorrow - I wouldn't be holding up any cards about this regardless.

I agree on the willy waving. It's just nonsense.

I didn't know the rivalry between Fiorentina and Juve was this viscious, it seems like the Viola are the antaganists in this clearly. If the only true reason for their "twinning" with us is to spite the Juventus fans and tarnish the memory of the 39 who lost their lives at Heysel (RIP) then that is absolutely disgraceful.

We should create some sort of banner to show Fiorentina fans our true feelings towards them because from that article is clear, it's all a nice guise to taunt the Juve fans. Something like "Fiorentina; You Disgust Us" just something to that effect.
These are the days when I hate the world, hate the rich, hate the happy, hate the complacent, the TV watchers, beer drinkers, the satisfied ones. Because I know I can be all of those little hateful things and then I hate myself for realising that.

24 years ago this "friendship" was formed.

Fiorentina sing about Liverpool when they play Juve all the time.

Do they do it any other games? no.

hmmm I WONDER WHY?

I would have thought friendship was a two-way street...and it seems that most Reds don't know anything about it, other than appreciating was appeared to be a complimentary banner. So unless our own fans agreed to some kind of more formal relationship ("twinning" as they call it), then it doesn't seem to me like there's any more of a "friendship" between us and Fiorentina fans than there is between us and fans of any other team.

That'll be a nice message to send to the Fio' fans who genuinely respect and acknowledge our achievments and status as a Top European club...

Have any Juve fans admitted they were out of order at Heysel too?

They always try to pin everything that happened on that day on Liverpool fans.

Precisely.  And I am going to lock this thread until then.  Paul, when you get some confirmation from the club you can either start a new thread in the main forum or drop me a PM and I'll re-open this one.  Speculating wildly about this in the meantime is going to help nobody.

Oh, and the next person who suggests that the lads that organise the mosaics are doing this deliberately to deflect attention from the owners, will get a ban. Cretins.
