Keita seemed to be walking ok when leaving training pitch. With the game in 24 hours time i cant see him starting the match now. But we should see him on the bench as we have 12 subs and he doesn't need to even come off the bench. It's still a shame though. Hope it is only minor problem.

With Naby leaving training with a problem I reckon the team pretty much picks itself now. Adrián in for Alisson and Mané in for Origi. Can’t see any other changes as Klopp really wants to win this trophy.

Isn't kick off near midnight over there? It shouldn't be that warm.

Every other game these days seems to be extreme weather. Even Norwich it was thunderstorms all day.

It's a 10pm kickoff.

Whilst there has been a lot of extreme weather lately, this is normal weather for Turkey in August.

Got a question. There is no news yet that i can find of Andy Lonergan officially singing for Liverpool FC, so how can we have him on the subs bench? As he wont be registered as a player for us yet?

He must of signed something now as he's in the squad.

Maybe, we just haven't announced the signing but have registered him.

Agree, we would should (and probably will) go full force, and worry about Southampton at the weekend another day.

That's the thing though.. I don't think there's anything to worry about with this Southampton side.. They were dreadful at the weekend.. We can go full strength tonight and still twat the Saints on Saturday..

Agreed mate.. hopefully its early enough in the season for us to get away with it.. Its a toss up between using the squad more tonight or on Saturday.. Klopp's got a few decisions to make I guess.. I would personally use the squad more tonight and bring in the likes or Ox and Shaq.. With City playing Spurs on Sunday, its imperative we pick up 3 points on Saturday..

With the game being played on the edge of Europe, and us having the play Southampton less than 72 hours later, I'd start with the likes of Matip, Milner, Keita, Lallana, Shaqiri, Ox, and any other senior players who won't be playing on Saturday.

I wanted Naby Keita to start but since he has issues here's my line-up... and I'm serious... and yes, I don't care about winning this Cup:

Adrian
Whoever, Gomez, Matip, Milner
Gini, Lallana,
Ox
Shaqiri, Origi, Mane

This would help these guys get in shape or stay in shape, while the big guns get some rest for the real thing on the weekend.

Baffling how the Soton match wasn't moved to Sunday.

I'm expecting Klopp to make some changes mostly to midfield, with the weekend in mind, and then perhaps rotate one of the front 3 at the weekend.
