I’m sure there’s some fatigue going on, and we are coming to the tail end of an extremely successful and hard working team.
But they are getting older, not as high get as they once were. The pace is missing. And of course that will change a lot of how this Liverpool play. As you say not that much heavy metal anymore.

I feel like we’ve turned football *into* formula one, sort of.  You know how a car races around the track no problem at 130mph, then a flap somewhere comes slightly loose and the car doesn’t start running at 128mph, but it suddenly can’t do anything *at all*?  Feel like this what comes of turning football into a finely-honed systems game - now everybody’s built one, once something goes slightly wrong with yours even Minardi leaves you choking in the dust.
