Just changed my flights. Doing a daytrip Roma Ultras seems to be scums and am traveling alone so no need for me to stay there longer than needed.

I would assume that nothing has changed re the Roma fans. '84 was like hell on earth, they don't take kindly to losing. Slashings from passing scooters as well as the odd iron bar on the back of your legs. Coach windows going in right left and centre. I can see similar shit happening again.

Our fans need to stick together out there. Walking around in pairs etc is asking for trouble, those Roma fans are vile, they will be looking for small groups of lfc fans. Stay together.

Me and my mate are going over for this. Know a few other lads going over aswell be a good idea to all meet up somewhere before the game and all go to the ground together. Them shithouse roma fans won't attack big groups they'll only go after innocent fans walking up on their own.

Glad I made the decision not to go to this when the draw was made. I do most aways both in this country and in Europe but after going here in 2001 and what i experienced then I vowed never to go again. Stay safe everyone going and stick together in big groups. Some of there fans are simply evil.

I think the scooter thing also happened in 2000 when we played them in the UEFA cup, riding past on scooters and shiving people in the arse. I went the following season when we played them in the european cup and it wasn`t as bad. Our coach did get bricked on the way to the ground, took a few digs from the carabineri outside the ground and got pelted with all kinds of shit from the home fans.

Is it worth sorting a WhatsApp group with other Reds out there so we can keep updated on travel arrangements on matchday???.

Safety in numbers and all that.

Done Seville & Porto away this year & several European aways in years gone by. It's a shame there probably won't be a central meet & display of flags and colours.

I'm going a couple of days before with two lads from work so going to try & do the tourist thing, keep our heads down and then make our way to the ground.

The worry is splintering off from big groups as I understand that's where you're most likely to be targeted over there.

Several tweets from Evans and others advising to avoid:

- Pont Duca d'Aosta bridge
- Number 11 bus from Ottaviana to Stadio Olimpico (This is the normal public route)
- Via Capoprati
- Campo dei Fiori

This 100%, only doing the day trip, but go everywhere with the Mrs, now shitting it that I'm putting her in a load of danger.

Think we're going to head to all the tourist spots, and blend in, then just get back to the coaches that are taking us to the ground

Rome is a beautiful city and a trip there is always worthed. Unfortunally there are scumbags that thinks that a match is a war. So guys travelling there keep your eyes open. My thoughts are for that irish fightin' for his life.
I was in Istanbul in 2005, and regardless of the final result, i had great memories of l'pool fans.
